Hi!
I'm Lise, a 30-year-old French traveler currently living in Amsterdam.
I have already had the chance to travel to many different countries such as Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, China, Madagascar and several countries in Europe, and I now want to explore solo travel in a more meaningful and hands-on way.
I just joined Workaway because I want to feel useful, work with my hands and learn new practical skills while discovering local cultures and different ways of living and working. I am especially curious about gardening, permaculture, eco-construction and taking care of animals. I also see this experience as a great opportunity to improve my Spanish.
I am traveling alone and usually looking for stays of about one month, mainly in Central and South America.
I enjoy outdoor work, meeting new people and sharing daily life with my hosts. I am very sociable, creative and open-minded, and I love exchanging ideas, learning from others and contributing wherever I can.
I am reliable, motivated and organized, and I always try to bring a positive and helpful attitude to everything I do. I’m happy to work independently or as part of a team, and I adapt easily to new environments.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
- Experience with manual tasks: cleaning, gardening, basic DIY, painting and general maintenance
- Volunteered in a fruit and vegetable garden in the Netherlands; basic knowledge of permaculture principles
- Comfortable working outdoors and motivated to learn more about sustainable gardening and eco-friendly practices
- Experience taking care of animals: dogs and cats, + volunteered in a wildlife rescue center in Costa Rica (cleaning cages, caring for birds, monkeys and more)
- Some experience with children; patient and responsible
- Quick learner, resourceful and adaptable; happy to help wherever needed
- Background in marketing and customer service; strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
- Social media skills (Instagram)
- Languages: native French, bilingual English, basic Spanish (very motivated to improve)
- Creative skills: painting, customizing clothes, ability to organize textile painting or creative workshops

In my free time, I enjoy social and board games (party games, strategy games, cards and dices).
I love cooking and baking vegetarian and I’m always happy to share meals and recipes. I’m vegetarian but flexible and can eat local fish.
I’m an energetic person, clean and organized, and I value respect, communication, community life, slow living and well-being. I’m comfortable with simple lifestyles and shared living.
I play the ukulele and sing, enjoy pop and acoustic music, and like fantasy movies, comedies and nature documentaries.
I practice yoga, dance, hiking and running, and also enjoy journaling and breathing exercises.
I’m a very creative person: I customize clothes by painting on them to give them a second life, and I’d be happy to organize textile painting workshops if it fits the project.
I’m also known among my friends as “the clown of the group” — I love making people laugh with jokes and wordplay!
