Since it is always easier to describe somebody else instead of ourselves, we let each other write a small text about the other person:

Laura is an extraordinary girl, since I met her she never ceases to amaze me, I met her in Colombia in a volunteer (animal shelter) when I had the opportunity to talk she told me about the trip she was doing, I traveled with her for 6 months in South Latin America (hitchhiking) we did a lot of volunteering, she is a woman with a lot of desire to work and discover different ways of living. Sustainability forms a big part of her life and affects almost all the decisions she is taking.
She is very interested in permaculture, she loves nature, she is very sociable. In Colombia she learned to crochet, and it is something she now does every day, she loves handicrafts (bags, blouses, bracelets, earrings, etc.). Laura is also a woman with leadership, very punctual, organized and always likes to be prepared for any work she has to do, she also likes to cook vegetarian. She is a very fast language learner, she can speak German, English, Spanish perfectly and a little bit of Portuguese, right now she is learning Italian.

Mateo is a Colombian guy that wants to explore the world! Knowing him now for a year, he surprises me everyday with all the talents he has! In Colombia he worked on a coffee farm of his family, in ceramics, building houses, as a cook and many more jobs! He’s always curious to learn new things and learns super fast. Besides the construction, farm working and cooking he also has his creative aspects that he shows editing videos and crafting arts like bracelets. Apart of that he is social very easy to handle, very calm and understanding. He speaks Spanish, some Portuguese and his goal right now is to practice his English, which unfortunately in Colombian school’s isn’t taught that well.
He’s a very brave and adventurous young man who can enrich every place with his work attitudes and talents.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Laura: On my trip around south america I did several volunteerings especially in farms, but also with street animals, teaching english and working & living in an eco community. There I gained a lot of skills in agriculture and some general understanding of crafting/repairing/construction and permaculture. Me and Mateo also gained some experience working in gardening in germany.
Besides, I am a very fast learner, especially in languages. Recently I discovered my love for crafting arts. I love doing crochet and already started receiving orders and selling my work.
On my trip to south america I crossed the atlantic hitchhiking a sailboat, so I would consider that sailing is also one of my skills.
I am very passionate to challenge myself with new tasks but also find joy in simple / repetitive / meditative tasks.
I am vegetarian/vegan now for almost 4 years and consider myself a decent cook. Right now I am doing online studies on vegan nutrition managment, because sometimes my brain gets hungry to learn some sciences.
Before travelling I studied tax law, so I might be able to help with law questions or reading contracts.

Mateo: I have a lot of skills in the area of crafting: I learned to do ceramics, to build a house from scratch and I always love to repair things to not waste resources.
I also worked in a restaurant for a year and people seem to love my typical colombian food.
Living and working on my moms coffee farm in colombia gave me a lot of knowledge about gardening / plants / farming / fertilizers etc.
I like to edit videos, I worked together with a journalist for some month and have my own youtube channel.
I like to be fast working and leave everything very well done.
