Hello Friends ✨

I am Anna from Hungary in my early thirties, currently on sabbatical from work and in between projects. I decided to use these few months to combine travelling and working to recharge, connect with people in an active environment, and celebrate life a little!

I'm a trained teacher and electrical engineer, currently working as an engineer, a climate activist, an event builder event technician and a visual artist.

I'm an experienced traveller with many miles and projects on the road behind me, and I'm always ready to take on a new challenge! I love nature, I'm a very adventurous, outgoing, and active person, and I also love taking my time to really get to know places and people, finding new ways of sharing and experiencing life.

I practice Ashtanga and I'm also a beginner surfer. I surfed for two months in Portugal at a surf hostel I volunteered at and it really stole my heart – but honestly I love everything and anything connected to water, water is where my mind goes to play and relax.

Would love to be part of interesting and fun projects and to meet people who have stories and dinner tables to share!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've been working as an event technician and visual artist for the past six years for various outdoors and indoors events, including festivals and retreats, and I also have an outdoors event series we organise with some of my friends. So I have wide experience with different aspects of outdoors and indoors event building and organisation – from physically building stages and other structures to installing, managing, and repairing technical equipment. I've also been working as a visual artist and creative strategist for climate NGOs as part of an international artist collective, where we work with unusual materials to create large artwork. So I'm generally quite good with creative, DIY, and building projects and know my way around carpentry, the toolbox, and electricity.

I have experience working with animals as well and I've been closely involved with my Grandma's veggie garden ever since I was very little. I love both animal and plant care and I'm always passionate to learn more.

I have degrees in English education and electrical engineering. I used to teach English as a foreign language both for groups and individually, and I also have 6 years of child care experience for ages 0-6. I'm also very experienced in sewing!

I think I'm mostly in my element doing physical work. I'd love to be involved with something that allows for that, but I'm open to any possibilities!

I'm currently working as an embedded software engineer, so if your C or C++ code needs a review, I can jump in to help with that too! :)

I've travelled with Workaway before, volunteered for a summer at a surf hostel in Portugal a few years back and absolutely loved it! I find it a wonderful way to connect with adventurous, kind, and open-minden people.
