Bom dia.
I'm a French (Breton from Brest) retired captain.
I live (alone) on my sailing boat
Presently in Paraty, marvellous colonial city (1667), 200 Km south of Rio de Janeiro with magnificent landscape, islands and beaches
The boat is normally anchored in Paraty bay, one minute by motor dinghy from tourist pier, in the centre of historical town
UPDATE : I'm often doing charter sailing in the islands with paying guests, so it's impossible for me to plan the time where I can host workawayers.
So, contact me only when you are about to arrive in Paraty.
UPDATE 2 : Considering the kind of requests I'm receiving, especially from hard dreamers, I want to meet volunteers on land before accepting them on board.

Michel es un gran anfitrión para sus huéspedes y voluntarios. Siempre esta dispuesto a compartir sus historias y conocimientos tanto del barco como de la vida.
El velero en el que vive es una obra de arte. El trabajo es leve y se disfruta mucho la estadía dentro del Mar.

If you like a simple life, Michel's boat is your place to be. I stayed two weeks on the boat and helped with cleaning the deck and the outer part of the boat. Michel was very welcoming host, generous with all the possible informations and tips regarding Paraty and beyond, a pleasant company to be around.
His boat is really spacious and beautiful, the interior is a time travel. The work to do was standard maintenance in a very chill atmosphere. I am thankful for the experience.

He have beautiful sailing boat that is 50years old and still so beautiful! When I was there He maintains a lot.

Michel is an amazing person and I had a really nice time in Paraty! I stayed in his (beautiful) sailing boat for 3 days, for the Mimo festival and it was a unforgetable experience. I'm feeling grateful and I can still feel the swing of the sea! Thanks for all, Michel! Hope to see you again!
