Description
You have to be completely awesome to stay here.
Needed : HELP and company wanted. Cleaners, Gardners, Farmers, Gourmet chef's, brain surgeons and rocket scientists are not required, but can be included.
I have skills in most of these areas (rocket science and brain surgery aside) and am up for safe coaching skills.
I am an adventurer and inventor who knows how to live life.
My work has brought me around the world for product inspections as a garment tech, but I have also do some graphic design, and product R&D across many fields. Since 2020 I stopped traveling and started to work locally doing maintenance jobs , carpentry , electrical and plumbing and scuba diving. Currently managing a local lumberyard and working at our fire department on our little island.
On the island I am known as Zeuss because there are far too many Daves haha.
I love good food, music, and company.
I am passionate, energetic and generally busy but the calm and peacefulness of staring at a fire, sunset or stars and sitting with good food and drink.
I enjoy hard work and feel I am a patient communicator.
We will find best tasks suited to the workawayer, and we can discuss what you would like to help with ; for instance on the property there is looking after the animals, cleaning trails, help in the garden weeding, planting and basic around the house tasks like cooking and cleaning maybe some organising and or decorating.
Projects on the boats are cleaning and scrubbing.
Only accepting guests who are willing to stay 2 weeks or more.

Helping me you have a pelthra of opportunity to learn new things at my lil homestead, I am a first responder, naturalist , and inventor.
I have a work schedule these days so there is lots of time for yourself but there is always something to do to keep busy.
Freinds with other hosts on the island where we regularly share meals and games together.
I aim to more biodiversity exploring underwater, at the tideline on hikes all the while cataloging , regularly boating and being in nature.
Galiano island is awesome, travellers will benefit from the fresh air , peacefulness and serenity of the area we live in.
Galiano island has many parks to wander; it is a short ferry ride from Vancouver and Victoria (on Vancouver island).
Galiano island has 1400 colourful people. and offers many cultural community based activities including games night, soup and bread , pingpong and volleyball.
Galiano has seven restaurants, four stores and miles of shoreline and forest trails.
I am a former tour guide and can help you discover our beautiful province of British Columbia .
Aide
The boat, projects are mostly help cleaning. You will learn knots, navigation and how to dock a boat.
The property help with meal prep and clean up. Shopping and recycling . Yard tasks and trail building and gardening or help with the animals (chickens and cats), putting food out and away, making sure there is clean water.
Looking for some strategic thinking and people who are good with seeing the big overall picture and could help me de clutter and get rid of things perhaps help guide me and make suggestions on how to make the space better.
You could also play live music while I work... bahahahahah ;)
Hours are flexible, depending on the tasks being done. Not a slave driver but I like to see progress.

My expectations for my guests will be to be social, help with projects around the property. Helping to keep things tidy and clean, I expect a good help ethic.
