Description
Hello! My name is Kenna and I am from the United States. Last year I graduated from University with a degree in Environmental Studies and I have been traveling ever since! I lived in Madrid, Spain as an English teacher for a few months then moved to Colorado to be a ski lift operator. I am now living and working as a barista in Wellington, New Zealand and gearing up for the next adventure!
I have always been passionate about sustainable farming and ways to keep a local mindset within communities. I've worked on two previous farms with WWOOF, very similar to Workaway, one farm in California and one in Maui, Hawaii.
After New Zealand I hope to complete some Workaways in Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam!

I lived in Madrid as an English teacher where I taught high school students English. While I was there I began to learn Spanish and would love to continue learning new languages

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I worked on a bee farm in Maui, Hawaii where I got to work hands on with honey machinery and making, bees wax candle making and general bee work. I also worked with cows, chickens and goats on this farm, as well as general garden bed and farm maintenance. This farm hosted farm to table dinners and had a fully operational kitchen where I learned how to make and process kimchi and sourcrout, as well as prepare our farmstand each morning. I've also worked on a small scall eco-farm in Mendocino California, where I got to work with chickens, ducks and general farm maintenance. I also completed a mural for this farm, I love to paint and cook as well as learn all sorts of new skills and interests.

I love to read, paint, write, cook, and especially garden. I am happiest when I am doing farm work and I love the community living it brings. I have many interests and things I would love to learn more about and I feel workaway and wwoofing connects you to some of the most interesting people who you can learn, teach and grow from.
