Description
Hi, we are Lerrin and Siam and we are a Thai / German couple with 2 children we own a resort in Tonsai, Krabi.
Tonsai beach is located in Krabi, surrounded by limestone cliffs it can only be reached by boat. You feel like you are on a secret beach away from civilization. Tonsai is unique because of its small size and the vibe of the local community which consists of local Thai people and backpackers.
We live in a beautiful bay, neighboring Railay beach, and only a 5-minute boat ride away from Ao nang. We have had our business for over 16 years and our bar is still very well-known and unique. The atmosphere has a very good reputation along with the mix of artwork and natural driftwood sets our place apart from others.
We have 56 bungalows built on the incline of the hillside. Each bungalow is unique and has art painted onto the walls from various people from around the world. They are minimally furnished and our guests come to enjoy nature and our laid-back lifestyle.
Our bar is the hub of the resort where people gather and relax. People just come to take in the vibe which is laid back and an alternative to the very touristy areas close by.
All the bungalows, bar area, and furniture have been hand-crafted by my husband who is very creative and we have put a lot of love and time to create an environment where people feel at home.
Tonsai and Railay beach are famous for Rock climbing and we have guests who come to stay to climb for long periods of time, people who are traveling and come for a few days to experience the jungle vibe, and other guests, who come end up staying longer, as they have fallen in love with our paradise.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Our bar and bungalows are situated perfectly amongst the lush rain forest and the base of the famous Tonsai cliff, just a five minute walk from the peaceful beach and towering limestone cliffs. All around is peace and tranquillity, life for us here is very simple and laid back and this is reflected in our bar and bungalows. Volunteers who have stayed with us, always feel like family and are welcomed and can learn to live a basic jungle life style.

We would like to take on someone who can to help in our reception desk at our family run resort.
We can take you for a 1-month minimum stay. If you like it with us, you may be able to stay longer. You are provided with a shared room, with other volunteers and 2 meals a day, and free drinking water.
The reception help requires you to check in the guest, show them to the room, giving guests information on the resort and surrounding areas. Checking out guests and cleaning the reception area.
The food provided is cooked for you by our staff, so the food can be spicy and is made differently from the food you would buy in a restaurant. We DO NOT cater to special requirements with food.
Our Thai staff runs the bar and we have Thai and Burmese cleaners and maintenance men. You are not required to work in the bar or clean rooms. The reception area needs to be cleaned and looked after and is the responsibility of the receptionist.Langues parlées

Autres infos...
We are a small, family-run resort and we live a lifestyle here that some are not used to. Our bungalows are basic and equipped with a bed and a fan. We also use cold showers which are refreshing but please bear in mind it's 30+C here during the day so the water is not cold like European standards.
Tonsai is classed as part of the mainland but we are cut off from everyone else the same as Railay because we are around a bay and surrounded by cliffs. It is easy to reach Ao nang and Krabi if you wish to go away on days off.
All the resorts on Tonsai generate their own electricity. using generators. Our electricity is only on at 6 pm and goes off at 3 am. We have WIFI at these times in the bar, public areas, and reception
Please bring a refillable water bottle, a torch just in case and mozzie spray is always handy. If coming in the low season, a light rain jacket would be a good idea.
We are in the jungle, so bugs and wildlife, and monkeys are to be expected.
If you enjoy nature and have a sense of adventure then this placement will be for you! We will do everything to ensure you have a comfortable stay but our resort is for someone who can manage without life’s luxuries and relax in the beautiful place we live.Informations complémentaires
