Description
Earlier in my twenties I worked as an electrician. Mainly building geothermal power plants in the Nevada desert. The work was hard, the days were long and although the money was good my dreams of everything this life could be were growing dim. At 25 I had the nice house, the cars, the motorcycles and I was absolutely miserable. I think covid worked as a major event to wake me up to trying to be free. In 2022 I sold my car and all my stuff. I bought a tent and backpack and hiked from Mexico to Canada for 6 months, 2,600 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. I'm so grateful for the new friends I made and for the totally new life perspective that gave me. None of my family has ever been to college or really traveled at all. Myself included. After the trail I worked the summer back home in NV, serving tables and bartending which was a lot easier than 12 hour days in the desert! I saved and used that money to fly to Central America where I'm currently spending the next few months. I just found out about workaway at Spanish school. It's perfect for me!
A few quick things about my interests:
I love hiking and the peace that nature brings me.
I really want to learn about gardening/self sustaining/agriculture. I would love to spend all day on a garden!
I'm looking to learn and practice my Spanish!!
I love music and I bring my guitar everywhere

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I spent last summer working in an up scale restaurant back home. I was a server and bartender. That place gets nuts! Definitely the busiest spot in town so if it comes to customers or service I got you! I'm great at getting along and dealing with people. I've also worked as an electrician in residential, commercial, and industrial build projects. Most of the time if it has to do with construction I can be a great help. I'm developing my Spanish which I hope to be able to add to my other skills by the end of this year. I laugh a lot and I don't really get worked up too often which has always been one of my greatest attributes. If being easy going is a skill, I got it. I think I would really enjoy gardening based jobs/duties. I would love to learn as much as I can!
I'm the oldest son to a single mom, so I raised my younger brothers and sister. I'm great with kids and animals.
