Hello there - we’re Jasmin & Alex, a couple from Innsbruck, Austria.

We’re both passionate about the outdoors, whether it's climbing, or just being in nature observing animals. When we’re not outside, you’ll probably find us playing board games (we’re always up for a good strategy match!). Traveling has always been a big part of our lives, and we love experiencing new cultures firsthand, that’s exactly why we’re excited to join Workaway. We want to go beyond just visiting places and truly immerse ourselves in local life.
Sustainability, biodiversity, open-mindedness, and living in harmony with people and nature are values we deeply care about. We believe in being respectful guests, learning from others, and contributing in a way that fosters connection and balance. Whether it’s through sharing skills, embracing new perspectives, or simply being kind to the environment and those around us, we try to live in a way that reflects these values every day.

A little about us:

🌿 Jasmin – I am an ecologist with a deep love for wild bees and nature conservation. Before that, I worked as a general and pediatric nurse. I am happiest when climbing, cycling, or outdoors discovering new places.

🏀 Alex – I enjoy any sport that involves a ball, as well as bouldering. I am a teacher of English and Biology at an international school. I am always up for a good conversation.

We’re easygoing, open-minded, and love learning new skills. Whether it's helping out with eco-projects, teaching, or practical tasks, we’re happy to contribute in any way we can. Looking forward to new adventures, great connections, and lots of learning along the way!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Jasmin:
I’m an ecologist with a deep passion for wild bees and biodiversity conservation. My work gives me a strong understanding of plants, animals, and ecosystems. I am also a registered general and pediatric nurse and have worked several years in pediatric and general intensive care units. This experience has made me highly organized, adaptable under pressure, a strong team player, and equipped with valuable medical skills.

Beyond my professional experience, I love hands-on projects. I enjoy gardening, have a talent for DIY, and love creating and fixing things. I’m also self-sufficient, comfortable working independently, and have experience working with children. Whether it’s helping in the garden, supporting eco-projects, or assisting with practical tasks, I’m always happy to contribute.

Alex:
I am a teacher of English and Biology at an international school, and my work allows me to interact with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Teaching has helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and creativity, while also sharpening my critical thinking and time management abilities. I enjoy working with children and creating engaging learning experiences.

Outside of teaching, I am computer literate, adaptable, and empathetic. My past hands-on jobs during my studies also gave me practical skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and working efficiently under different conditions. These jobs allowed me to work with people from all walks of life. I'm always happy to contribute - be it through supporting education, organizing activities, or getting involved in hands-on-projects.

Fun fact:
We’re also escape room enthusiasts! As a couple, we’ve completed over 100 escape rooms worldwide with two close friends. We love the challenge, the immersive atmosphere, and the fun of solving puzzles together while spending quality time with friends.
