  Description

  We are a young intercultural couple. My husband Geir is 55 years old, Norwegian and works in the oil industry. I am Colombian, I am 44 years old, I am studying social anthropology at the University of Bergen. My 73-year-old Colombian mother also lives with us. We have a beautiful son named Teo, he is 13 years old and is a husky mixed breed dog, very loving and kind.

  Our volunteers will be able to enjoy the beautiful Norwegian nature, they can share and learn both the Nordic culture and the Latin American culture.With us you can learn or improve the Spanish and Norwegian language. We love music, art, and outdoor activities. So you can enjoy a good cultural exchange through art. For all those who like manual work, this is the right place. My mother is very good at sewing, knitting and everything that has to do with the development of creativity. My husband and I also have some knowledge of handmade jewelry, which we would be happy to share with our visitors.

  Aide

  We would like to have a person who can walk our dog when we have difficulty doing it ourselves. Driving us places when my husband is out of town. Keep my mother company, and be able to do some activities with her (painting, sewing, embroidering, swimming, taking a walk). We would like to have someone outgoing, who also allows us to learn about their culture. We are a small family and we would love for you to feel like part of it. More than a person who can help us, we are looking for someone who can provide us with their company and be part of our daily activities. We give priority to Spanish-speaking volunteers, since my mother only speaks Spanish and I would love to integrate her into this experience.

  Hébergement

  We can offer a private room with two sleeping places, a terrace overlooking the fiorfo and a shared bathroom.
  
  When it comes to food, we can provide one meal a day (dinner). Dinner time, which is normally between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., the idea is that it is a time to share with the family. Generally it is my mother who is in charge of preparing dinner. This may vary depending on her health status. So sometimes it will be me, my husband or even volunteers can help with the preparation.

  There is an opportunity to go on tours in the forest, fishing, swimming (different water sports). We are close to the beautiful city of Bergen, there are possibilities to visit all the places of interest to you (nature, art, culture, parties, etc.).
