Description

Hello! I am Isabel from Germany. I am currently studying to get an bachelors degree and right now I am on an exchange in Norway, specifically in Oslo. I did several workaways during my gap year in Japan and also one in Germany. And while staying and being a student in Oslo is exciting, I find my self longing to travel again, to get to know a more authentic side of Norway than living in an student village.
I am a kind and curious person, who is in a good mood a lot of the time. Eventhough I like and need to spent time on my own every now and then, I really enjoy the company of others, especially when living together. I like the spontaneous talks in the kitchen, playing games or watching a movie toghether in the evening.
During a workaway I would love to get to know some new people and different cultures (I am that kind of person that's always like "how do you say that in your language?"). I will probaly need to do some things for uni every now and then, but I will always make time to got on a nice walk or hike or go to a lake for a swim.
Some things I would like to try some days are surfing, horse riding, kayking and climbing (I used to list skiing here as well, but got to finally try it this year yay).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Household:
I can help with the general household tasks, like cleaning, doing the laundry or dishes. I've done Workaways in hotels and guesthouses before, so I have done that also on a larger scale.
Crafting and gardening:
In my teens I've helped out when my parents renovated a house and garden they have bought and during Workaway I helped with renovations as well. So I can help with stuff like sandpapering, painting walls, breaking down walls, cleaning up rubble,... Also I can help with general gardening.
I am not the strongest (so for heavy lifting, I am not the right choise), but I am physicaly fit and can do pyhsical work as well.
Communication:
I previous workaways I have done some culture and language exchange sessions in a language cafe. That provieded me with some intercultural communication skills and I have also learned to communicate with people when we don't share a common language.
Lanugages:
I speak English and German. German is my native language and I'm an fluent English speaker.
IT and stuff:
I have some digital skills as well. When it comes to using Word, Excel or making presentations, I can offer some help. And just to mention it I have some basic programming knowledge.
