Description
Hi there! I’m Floor, 31, from the Netherlands and live in the Southern Highlands at the moment.
Moving to Australia last year was a long-cherished dream come true. I’ve completely fallen in love with this beautiful country. Now, I’m hoping to stay longer, explore more, and learn along the way.
In my free time, you’ll find me doing yoga (especially yin), watching a good movie, or cooking up something tasty. Cooking is my kind of meditation—it helps me unwind, and I love getting creative with whatever ingredients are on hand. I’m also quite into crafts like sewing and making candles.
My dream is to run my own farmstay or agriturismo, where I can live closer to nature, cook with fresh produce from the garden, and maybe raise some chickens under the sun-powered roof. I see Workaway as a great step towards that dream—learning by doing, while giving a helping hand.
I already have experience with this lifestyle, because I did WWOOF'ing (similar to workaway) in Chile, where I helped on a farm stay. I worked a lot in the vegetable garden. In Melbourne I worked at a plant Nursery, which I really liked! Now im staying at a Work Away host in the Southern Highlands, what started out as staying for a few weeks, turned out in staying for almost 5 months now:).
Friends would describe me as open, approachable, a self-starter, and someone with a kind and welcoming vibe. I’d love to support you with whatever’s needed—whether that’s cooking, helping on the farm, housekeeping, admin, welcoming guests, or anything in between:).
