Actuellement, nous sommes

Description

Hey, we are Nora & Einar (20&19), best friends since kindergarden and from Germany (although Einar was born in the USA ;)
We finished school in 2024 and are currently fulfilling our dream of spending some time traveling before we start Uni in October!
So far we have seen lots of different places, some together, some by ourselves - from Sri Lanka to hiking on the South West Coat Path in England to experiencing vibrant New York City or taking the Hogwarts Express through the scottish highlands. We are easy-going, open and tolerant people, love the outdoors, hiking and nature and most of all we love the new experiences, people and impressions that come with traveling new countries.
Both of us are bookworms for life, Einar is a bit more artsy and loves drawing. He has a great love for Skandinavia (is currently learning Danish) and a passion for handball. Nora is very outgoing, therefore loves socialising, meeting new people and trying new sports & activities. We share a love for animals, both have pets and Nora is a volunteer in a local shelter.
After spending two weeks on Sicily in 2021 we are more than excited to see more parts of Italy this summer and get an insight into the culture, peoples lifes and experiencing the countryside (plus some good italian cuisine of course ;) !
This is our first time traveling with workaway, which to us seems like a great opportunity for people to experience a country from a different side than just "vacationing". We strongly support the idea of exchanging and sharing for the benefit of both sides and a mutual understanding!
So it is safe to say that we are very excited to make the most of our stay and the time spent with our host(s)!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are both fluent in German & English.
We have basic cooking skills and are able to offer help with any work in the house or garden!
Einar enjoys creative work and taking care of your pets. He has also worked on a field before (agriculture).
Furthermore we can both help with anything DIY! Nora loves handicrafts (sewing, painting, woodwork etc.) has some experience with children and horses (farm work or animals in general). She also worked as a server in a restaurant for two years and enjoys baking!
In conclusion - as long as you give us a little instruction on what to do, we are happy to help out and perfectly able to do our work responsibly (independently or in a team)!
