Hi there! My name is Edouard, and I am a french student on an academic exchange in Querétaro.

I have always been fascinated by different cultures and ways of life. That is why I chose to spend a semester in Mexico at Universidad Anáhuac Querétaro. I have been here since January and have fallen in love with the country's vibrant culture, delicious food, and warm people. I want to continue exploring Mexico because it has so much to offer.

My hometown of Lorient in Brittany, France, has shaped who I am today. Growing up by the sea has instilled a love for nature and the environment in me. I believe that it is our duty to preserve biodiversity and protect the planet for future generations. I am passionate about ecology and support initiatives that promote sustainable development and renewable energy.

One of my main objectives in joining Workaway is to meet new people and immerse myself in different cultures. I believe that traveling is an excellent opportunity to broaden one's horizons and gain a better understanding of the world. I also hope to achieve a meaningful end to my journey by giving back to the communities I visit through volunteering and making a positive impact.

In my free time, I love to surf, spend time at the beach, and participate in scouting activities. I have been a member of the scouting movement since I was eight years old, and it has taught me valuable life skills.

I am excited to be joining Workaway as a new member and looking forward to embarking on new adventures after the end of my semester in June.

PERSONAL PROFILE
After two years of preparatory classes for the Grandes Ecoles (CPGE) with a scientific option (ECS) at the Lycée Dupuy de Lôme in Lorient. I am currently in Master 1 of the Grande Ecole Programme at Rennes School of Business in the "Sustainable consumption" course.
I have a wealth of experience in associations such as the Scouts and Guides of France and the 4L Trophy Coordination. I would say that all my experiences, each with their specificities and their more or less direct link with the dynamics of the group and concern for the environment, have contributed to making me the person I am today, with values and convictions that make me have a strong ambition for the management of renewable energy projects.

• Various prospecting missions, animations and visits to newspaper distributors.

• Promotion of a new product during commercial operations.

4L Trophy Coordination association, (2021/2022)
• Co-organisation of the largest 100% young people's solidarity raid in Europe.
• Promote CSR issues within the association.
• Follow up the crews before, during and after the raid and provide information, advice and encouragement to all participants.

Activity leader in a holiday sports camp

• To carry out activities with young people aged 7 to 15. • Sports camp with a focus on surfing and multi-sliding.

Autres infos...

My last solidarity project was realized during the month of August in Benin.

- Solidarity project realized in the framework of the Scouts and Guides of France.
- Project objective: development of permaculture in the Toko-Bio region near Parakou in Benin.

Actions taken:
- Construction of a henhouse 30 meters long and 6 meters wide.
- Construction of a hut to house the farmers directly on the farm.
- Organization of a one week scout camp in Toko-Bio with the local scouts of Parakou.
