  Hi humans! Im Krystal and I want tell you about me and this proyect.
  After some years to traveling, Cozumel Island inspired me with its energy, beauty and the wonderfull things to be possible here, its diversity and magic. So, I decide stay and alive here to explore and build a dream to be seeding time ago. That is how born this proyect in the hearth of jungle, to create, learn and share. Is a knowledge place (school) and home.
  During my life and experience, I learn some knowledge about, herborist, natural building, permaculture, agroecology and others disciplines in the way to good beign in the life. Im appasionate of live in nature, explore, imagine, create, building and share experiences with a lot of respect of the life.
  
  This is the proposite about this place. We building a place to put it at the service of knowledge, sharing differents techniques, disciplines and skills. Based in the "Permaculture" vision, we are in the beginning of building and we need a lot of help of hard work and creative to rising.
  The wish, is create and connect authentic experience between us.
  The goal dream, is involve to the local community around in activities to feel and learn how is possible to live in harmony with freedom and respect between us and the Earth, through the practice, knowledge, work, experiences and genuine live to be awake and aware.

  ¡Hola humanos! Soy Krystal y les quiero platicar un poquito acerca de mí y este proyecto. Después de estar viajando por algunos años, la Isla de Cozumel me inspiró con su energía, belleza y todas las cosas increíbles que pueden suceder aquí, su diversidad y magia; entonces decidí quedarme a explorar y construir un sueño que venía gestando tiempo atrás. Así nace este espacio en el corazoncito de la selva para crear, aprender y compartir. Es una escuela y un hogar.
  Durante mi vida y experiencias he adquirido algunos saberes en herbolaria, construcción natural, permacultura, agroecología y otras disciplinas y saberes encaminadas al bien-estar, me apasiona vivir en la naturaleza, imaginar, construir y compartir saberes y experiencias, con mucho amor y respeto por la vida.
  
  Este es el propósito de este lugar. Estamos construyendo un espacio para ponerlo al servicio del saber, compartiendo aprendizajes a través de diferentes técnicas y disciplinas. Basados en una visión “permacultural”, estamos en las primeras etapas de construcción y requerimos mucho apoyo de trabajo físico y creatividad para desarrollarlo.
  El deseo, es crear y conectar a través de experiencias auténticas de apoyo mutuo.
  El objetivo, es llegar a la comunidad para gestionar actividades que propicien una vida en armonía y libertad con nuestra naturaleza humana y la tierra, a través de la practica, el conocimiento, el trabajo, la cultura, la experiencia y la convivencia genuina para estar atentos y conscientes.
  
  Bienvenidos a nuestro hogar y escuelita libre, salvaje y natural… Será un placer encontrarlos.

  Cozumel is a diversity cultural and recreative place to discover. The nature in the island is majestic and the local people have a lot of teach. There is a wide variety of animal, plant and marine species, also the traditional places and activities.
  
  We have friendships, soul family and links with different local initiatives to share activities and knowledge in the water and in the earth and Mexican traditions. We usually cook traditional food, talk about the life and we like play music somedays.
  
  We each have something to share and learn always, between the jungle, sea and community. For me, it is a pleasure share moments, activities, experiences and knowledge that I have acquired in my life. You will definitely learn a lot about the culture in Mexico, traditions, nature and other magic curiosities. Im a herbalist teacher, I can show you about herbs remedies and others good natural practices. But also I really enjoy hear how it is the life in other parts in the world, practice languages and found coincidences and learn new things.
  
  Here you can discover the beauty what is live the present. The island is lovely and a big teacher of life.

  En Cozumel hay una gran diversidad cultural y recreativa. La naturaleza de la isla es majestuosa y los isleños tienen mucho conocimiento para compartir. Hay una gran variedad de especies animales, vegetales y marinas, así como todas sus lugares tradiciones y actividades.
  
  Tenemos amigos, familia y vínculos con diferentes iniciativas locales para compartir actividades y distintos saberes en el agua y la tierra y otras tradiciones. Solemos cocinar platillos típicos mexicanos, charlar acerca de la vida y disfrutar veladas musicales algunos días.
  
  Todos tenemos algo que compartir y aprender siempre, entre la selva, la comunidad y el mar. Para mí es un placer compartir momentos, actividades, experiencias, y saberes que he adquirido en mi vida. Definitivamente aprenderás muchísimo sobre la cultura en México, sus tradiciones, la naturaleza y otras curiosidades. Soy maestra de herbolaria y puedo enseñarte sobre remedios herbales y algunas otras practicas naturales. Pero también me encanta escuchar y aprender como es la vida y tradiciones en otras partes del mundo, practicar idiomas y encontrar coincidencias y nuevos aprendizajes.
  
  Aquí puedes descubrir lo hermoso que es vivir el presente. La isla es muy amorosa y una gran maestra de la vida.

  Aide

  We are in the beginning of sustentaible building and continue design the spaces inside the jungle, with rhythm and harmony. We building with a lot of natural resources, like wood, stones and soil around the land with traditional tecniques of construction. We building ecological toilets and other housing systems (biofilters, water collection and renewable energy). At home we are also making renovations for a sustainable way to live with the nature. Also, we start to prepare the soil to sow.
  
  Construction: We need a lot of help in carpenter, construction, handling tools, service and instillations. Also we build a storage and diferent kind of furniture and repairs.
  
  Plants & Animals: We always have gardering, seeding and compost work. Also you can help in the farm to care the animals.
  
  Kitchen: Parallel to the eco-building project, we have a traditional Mexican cooking project, you can learn how make the products and Mexican food while helping with the preparation. The Mama loves show you how is.
  
  Around the house: We share the general maintenance tasks.
  
  Sometimes we organize workshops and activities for the community. We do photography, promotion and logistics. If you like any of these areas, you can support us and participate in the activities.
  
  We need help with a lot creativity and hard work, that you really enjoy the life in nature, because is heavy work but wonderful. Always have a new experiences to invent, building, improve and learn.
  
  The time to help is 3 or 4 hrs/ 5 days per week with distributed schedules and activities with good organization, communication and compromise.
  
  We look for independent and enthusiastic travelers who want an authentic experience and we offer the opportunity to meet the real life in the island and the permaculture project. Minimum time to be here are 3 weeks. Considers that weather conditions are unpredictables and activities change all the time.
  
  An essential requirement to come is to have a lot of respect and love for the nature, be gentil with the animals, enjoy the physical work and challenges, team work and keep clean the common areas.

  Estamos en las primeras etapas de construcción sustentable y seguimos diseñando los espacios dentro de la selva con su ritmo y en armonía. Trabajamos con muchos recursos naturales como madera, piedra y tierra del entorno para construir con técnicas tradicionales. Estamos construyendo baños ecológicos y otros sistemas de vivienda (biofiltros, cuidado, captación y recolección de agua, energías renovables).
  En casa también estamos haciendo renovaciones para un camino mas sustentable. Estamos comenzando a preparar la tierra para sembrar.
  
  Construcción: Necesitamos ayuda en carpintería, construcción, manejo de herramientas e instalaciones, construir y reparar diferente tipo de mobiliario y decoración.
  
  Plantas y Animales: Siempre tenemos trabajo de jardinería, siembra y composta por hacer. También puedes apoyar en la granja y cuidar de los animales.
  
  Cocina: Paralelo a la construcción, tenemos un proyecto de cocina tradicional, puedes aprender a hacer productos y comida mexicana mientras ayudas en la elaboración. Mi madre estará feliz de enseñarte.
  
  Algunas veces organizamos encuentros, talleres y actividades para la comunidad. Hacemos fotografía, promoción y logística. Si te gusta alguna de estas áreas, también puedes apoyarnos y participar en las actividades.
  
  Necesitamos mucha fuerza de trabajo y creatividad. Que realmente disfrutes la vida en la naturaleza, porque el trabajo es duro, pero muy hermoso y gratificante. Siempre hay cosas nuevas que inventar, construir, improvisar y aprender.
  
  El tiempo de ayuda es 3 o 4 horas al día / 5 días a la semana con actividades diferentes. Buena organización, compromiso y comunicación.
  
  Esperamos viajeros independientes y entusiastas que busquen una experiencia autentica y ofrecerles la oportunidad de conocer la vida en la Isla y el proyecto de permacultura. Estancias mínimas de 3 semanas. Considera que las condiciones climáticas son impredecibles y las actividades cambian constantemente.
  
  Requisito indispensable para venir es tener respeto y amor por la naturaleza, ser gentil con los animales, disfrutar el trabajo físico y los retos, el apoyo mutuo y mantener limpias las áreas comunes.

  Hébergement

  We live in a small farm outside the town and 3 km from the sea, surrounded by nature, silence and a great night view of the stars.
  
  Accommodation: Camping or share room, depend the disponibility and weather. We have a camping tents, blankets and mats available in case you need it, but I recommend you bring your headlamp and sleeping bag.
  
  Services: Conventional bathroom, outdoor shower, independent kitchen. Small pool. Internet. Electricity.
  
  Food: The meals are your responsibility. We offer you the basic ingredients available to cook for yourself any time. We have an independent and equipped kitchen to you. Sometimes we prepare and eat together in some special days, our diet is traditional.
  
  What else: Personal hygiene products, work clothing and laundry are your responsibility. All products and services are very accessible on the island, in case you need something.
  In home we try to use only biodegradable and natural cleaning products to care the water and animals. We have some products in case you need.
  
  Some recommendations for work: long pants, long-sleeved shirt, tennis shoes or work shoes, cap or hat, and insect repellent (natural preferably).
  
  The downtown is faraway, but we have a bicycles and public transportation is relatively close. Also sometimes we can take you to the downtown by car or go around the island together. Sometimes other volunteers have rented scooters to go around the island, it's a lot of fun.
  
  Life here is beautiful, safe and simple, we try to do a good, lovely and comfortable environment, but you should know that is the real Nature, sometimes not is the must comfortable way, there are insects and some seasons is heat and humidity, and the work is strong, please be honest with yourself if you really want to come to live this experience.

  Vivimos en una pequeña granja afuera del pueblo a 3 km del mar, rodeados de naturaleza, silencio y una gran vista nocturna de las estrellas.
  
  Alojamiento: Camping o cuarto compartido, dependiendo de la disponibilidad y el clima. Tenemos tiendas de acampar, cobijas y colchonetas disponibles en caso de que lo necesites, pero te recomiendo traer tu propia lampara y sleeping bag.
  
  Servicios: Baño convencional, regadera exterior, cocina independiente. Pequeña piscina. Internet. Electricidad.
  
  Alimentos: Las comidas son tu responsabilidad, te proveemos de algunos ingredientes básicos para que cocines por ti mismo cuando quieras. Hay una cocina independiente y equipada para ti. Algunos días especiales preparamos los alimentos y comemos juntos, nuestra dieta es tradicional.
  
  Qué mas: Los productos de higiene personal, ropa de trabajo y lavandería son tu responsabilidad. Todos los productos y servicios son muy accesibles en la isla, en caso de que necesites algo.
  En casa intentamos usar solo productos naturales y biodegradables de limpieza para cuidar el agua y a los animales. Tenemos algunos productos si lo necesitas.
  
  Algunas recomendaciones para el trabajo: pantalón largo, camisa de manga larga, tenis o zapatos de trabajo, gorra o sombrero y repelente de insectos (natural preferentemente).
  
  El centro de la ciudad es lejos, pero tenemos bicicletas y el transporte público es relativamente cerca. También algunas veces podríamos acercarte al centro en auto o dar la vuelta juntos alrededor de la isla.
  Algunas veces, otros voluntarios han alquilado scooters para dar la vuelta a la isla, es muy divertido.
  
  La vida aquí es muy bella, segura y tranquila e intentamos crear un buen ambiente, amoroso y confortable, pero debes estar consciente de que es la Naturaleza real, no siempre es lo mas confortable, hay insectos y algunas temporadas hay mucho calor y humedad y el trabajo es fuerte, por favor se honesto contigo mismo, si realmente quieres venir a vivir esta experiencia.

  The life in the island is very safe and calm, but with a lot of exciting and culture activities to do. We are in Mayan land and the Mexican caribbean sea.
  Cozumel is one of the main destinations in the world to learn scuba diving and snorkeling, the reefs are beautiful and the marine life is extraordinary.
  Have a archaeological sites within the jungle and many paths to walk. The vegetation and diversity of species is extensive, and we have delicious fruits.
  The other side of the island is ideal to surf and kitesurf. Have a bike paths to goes almost around all the island to explore. And here is one of the main triathlon venues in the world.
  In the down town you can walk around and find many beautiful places to listen music, eat, dance, sightseeing, sunset and a lot of activities more.
  Outside the island there are also many nearby places to explore; cities, towns, huge cenotes, lagoons, seas, animals, adventure and culture.
  We are 30 min by ferry to Playa del Carmen and from there you can easily go anywhere. I can help you with many recommendations, tips and contacts to get to different beautiful places in Mayan land or far away places if you come to Mexico with wish to explore.
  We have nearby international airports in Cancun (3hr away), Chetumal (4hr), and a small airport in Cozumel with many routes. The transportation in Mexico is very accessible and safe.

  La vida en la isla es muy segura, tranquila y con muchas actividades y cultura por descubrir. Estamos en tierra maya y el mar del caribe mexicano.
  Cozumel es uno de los principales destinos en el mundo para aprender buceo y hacer snorquel, sus arrecifes son hermosos y la vida marina es extraordinaria.
  Hay sitios arqueológicos dentro de la selva y muchos caminos por recorrer. Su vegetación y diversidad de especies es extensa tenemos fruta deliciosa.
  El otro lado de la isla es ideal para hacer surf y kitesurf. Tenemos una ciclopista que recorre casi toda la isla. Es una de las sedes principales de triatlones reconocidos a nivel mundial.
  En el centro puedes caminar y encontrar muchos lugares lindos para escuchar música, comer, hacer paseos, ver el atardecer y distintas actividades.
  Fuera de la isla también hay muchos lugares cercanos por descubrir, pueblos, cenotes enormes, lagunas, mares, animales, sitios arqueológicos y mucha tradición, artesanía, aventura y cultura.
  Estamos a 30 min en ferry de Playa del Carmen y de ahí te puedes desplazar a cualquier lugar fácilmente. Yo te puedo ayudar con muchas recomendaciones, tips y contactos para llegar a diferentes lugares hermosos en tierra Maya o más lejos, si vienes a México con deseos de explorar.
  Tenemos Aeropuertos internacionales cercanos en Cancún, Chetumal y un pequeño Aeropuerto en Cozumel con varias rutas. El transporte terrestre en México es muy accesible, seguro y económico.
