Hello! Thank you for choosing to look at my description and learn a bit about me!

A bit about me & my travel plans:
My name is Danika, I am from New Zealand and I am 24 years of age.
I am coming to Europe in 2027, during summer from July - September for adventure, seeing friends and family, and embracing new culture and places!
I am really interested in doing a workaway for roughly 2-3 weeks and supporting you and your family. My top interests is Denmark! I have always wanted to travel to Denmark, and I love the look of the old city and the calm life people live there.

What I enjoy:
Spending time with friends, family and loved ones and socialising with people. However, I also do value my own down time after a long day!
I enjoy physical activity, such as walking, biking, swimming, hiking.

My workaway experience previously:
I looked after two young Italian girls from Fano, Italy for 3 weeks. I helped get breakfast ready, walked them to school, played with them after school, and supported them with their homework. You can check my reviews for reference.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have grown up doing competitive swimming which got me into volunteer coaching young children once a week when I was 12 years old. Since then I have had a job as a swim instructor with Wellington City Council SwimWell from the age 15 years old and ongoing. I have taught kids from the ages of 3 years old up to adult swim coaching. This has developed and increased my passion for working with kids and helping them to stay safe in water environments.

While doing my swim instructing I have picked up Lifeguarding at pools across the Wellington Region and have completed my first aid course and done my PLPC (Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate). And I was a volunteer lifeguard at Titahi Bay Beach when I was 14-15 years old.

In 2018 I went on a World Challenge School trip to Thailand and Laos and helped a community build a water tank. This included cementing and working with construction materials.

I like to be active and go for walks, including walking dogs of neighbours, friends, family, and people I have house-sat for. While setting myself a physical and mental challenge, I completed my first sprint Triathlon in January 2023.

I love any sort of board games, in particular Articulate. Hobbies I enjoy are going for walks, runs, swims, or bike rides. I love being active and outside in the fresh air. I also enjoy socialising with others and getting to know people.
