  Description

  Hello everybody!
  We are very much looking forward to meet some beautiful people again. We are looking for people with good social skills who dont mind to be in a lively group of children.
  We have got three main projects where the volunteers can participate:
  1) Primary school for children from age 6 - 12
  Here you can help in English lessons supporting kids to speak the language. Or if you like sports and games you can help with physical education classes. You can also make a workshop about your country, hobby, profession, interest.
  In general when you will be at school we would like you to be a funny fellow for kids who is able to communicate with them in a basic way or is able to go and play with them outside or join them on a board games in the free time after school.
  2) Forest nursery school for kids from age 3 - 6
  The kids here are playing most of the day outside and they have a base at a spacious caravan. You can join the happy day with the kids in the nature and help the smaller children to tie their shoe laces, change wet clothes, going to toilet or playing with them. Sometimes they go for a trip where the teachers also might need your help keeping eye on kids.
  3) Family center
  Offers the nursing for parents who needs to work or going somewhere urgently and they dont put their kids yet to the nursery school. This service is open on Mondays and Wednesdays. Family center also works like a local community center for families with small children where they can meet, play and socialize. During the year there is a regular offer of workshops, leisure activities or professional assistance for foster families.
  Here again you can help smaller children to dress, put the shoes on or going to the toilet. With bigger children you can chat, play board games or just being the funny mate.
  4) Practical help
  Life is not all about children and playing, so we might sometimes need your help with the things around the house. In winter we will need you to help us heating the family center (feeding the domestic boiler by wood in the morning) We might sometimes need you to give us a hand to clean up the family center after a busy day or weed the garden of the nursery school, chop some wood or repair wooden toys or benches if you are skilled for it. We are organizing workshops from time to time for bigger groups of people so there we would need you to give us a hand with cooking or preparing.
  
  The school is an alternative educational project for primary school children. Our philosophy is based on individual and friendly approach to children. We want to help children to develop their own creativity, self -competence and the sense of responsibility like the part of gained knowledge.
  The school is the private institution providing primary school education for 22 children and hiring two class teachers plus two English tutors. We are strongly supported by the community of parents, who can also take part in the education. Due to this the monthly fee can be affordable for more parents.
  The school is placed in the local environmental centrum CSOP Kosenka. It is a lovely historical building which gives children lots of opportunities to learn both inside or outside.
  Every week has its own topic which we discuss together with children on the beginning of week. Education is divided into particular educational blocks which changes every 1,5 hour. One day of week we spent outside playing or searching or rather working on concrete topic. The last day of week is opened for parents to get involved with educational projects of their choice.

  We expect volunteers to become the part of our team and join the fun because we love what we are doing. Besides teaching English we would be happy if volunteers would prepare a tutorial day about their country, culture, about their work/hobby. This is a great way for children how to learn. We are also organising several educational and cultural events during the year which volunteers can take part in. We will be happy if volunteers could help us in our communal activities and we will support them in discovering the local region and help them if they need any guidance in creating educational activities for school.
  Beside this volunteers will have the opportunity to discover unique traditions of the Southern Walachia region . We can teach you how to make a real kyselica soup or sing some nice folk songs. If you are interested we can also teach you some specific handcraft techniques.

  Aide

  We are looking for enhusiastic people to participate in educational projects. Particularly in teaching English. We expect volunteers to help the English tutor during the classes and help the children to improve their communicative skills ant their self confidence while speaking English. Moreover volunteers would help us to make the lessons more fun and lively and it would be a great experience for children to meet people from allover the world and to discover new culture. You can create English games, creative projects or just chat with children.

  Hébergement

  Volunteers will be accommodated in a single room in the family center. There is bathroom, toilet and kitchen available. We will buy you some food or you will get some small budget to buy some. During the week we will provide for you a warm lunch at the family center. You can share your lunch time together with other people:)
  Weekends you can spend on your own or you can make contact with some of the families participating at the school project. We will be happy to invite you and spend some time with you or to take you on a trip.

  Community school is based in a beautiful little town Valasske Klobouky which is a heart of the surrounding region. There is plenty of cultural events and concerts during the year. Local people are very proud of their cultural heritage so thanks to that you can visit here plenty of craft markets, events, folc concerts and workshops based on presenting and passing on the knowledge of the ancestors.
  Beautiful surrounding areas lure to make trips around and discover. It is not a problem to take a bus or train thus public transport is still very cheap and frequent.
