Hello:) My name is Carla, aged 25, I am half Italian and half Maltese, and I work as a sound engineer in London, UK.

This is my second time as a traveler (I traveled solo for 8 months in Latin America whilst doing 4 workaways for the first time in 2022) . Traveling has always been my true dream, while food (I consider myself a well-respected cook;)), music, art, yoga, surfing, skiing and connecting with Mother Nature are probably my most important passions that make me the happiest.

I am a creative (I make music, DJ and paint/draw), but I would like to think of myself as practical and hands-on, able to pick up new skills fast. I am also a people person, and I love meeting new people from anywhere, wherever. My favourite thing about doing this is that I am always eager to learn from other people around the world. I am highly motivated to learn even more about South American culture and its ways of life. I am always open to learning new skills, whether it's DIY, carpentry, general maintenance, people management, and doing any other jobs in between! My main aim for this coming year is to experience a different way of leading life , outside the scope of the western world of work, again, whilst helping who I can along the way and giving back to the community in which I find myself in!

I am fluent in Italian, English and Spanish. My Portuguese and French are quite good but are a bit rusty, since I lost touch with them a bit. However, I am very keen in improving my Portuguese and reaching a higher level of fluency and I believe that having a strong base in Latin languages will help too:)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a sound engineer by trade, therefore my skillset includes knowing how to do heavy lifting properly, I am good with technology and computers. Since troubleshooting is a major aspect of this discipline, I learnt how to be practical and pragmatic in all sorts of situations, and i am generally a very handy person. Ask me to do anything and I will (within limits;))! I am obviously very open to doing all sorts of and any kinds of jobs! Other than the more technical and hands-on skills I learnt as a sound engineer, I have experience in admin, blog writing some photography and video editing. Lastly, I am also highly adaptable, as I have moved around a lot, and lived in 3 different countries so far.
