Hi there!

I’m Astrid, 29, from Copenhagen, Denmark. I have a Master’s in Economics and IT and a background in strategy consulting, which I recently quit as I’ve discovered that I’d rather explore the world than stare at a spreadsheet.

I’m a person who is extremely happy outdoors, preferably somewhere wild, with a good dose of adventure. I grew up traveling, and have spent a lot of time in for example the Yukon, Greenland, Svalbard, the Middle East, Iceland and much more. I speak fluent Danish, French and English, but my biggest dream is to learn a new language (and maybe a new alphabet? Inshallah!) I find it hard to sit still, which is a bit part of my personality. I love to go for an evening walk, play boardgames, I looove to play and watch soccer and other ball games, I'm a big runner and I absolutely love the forest, the mountains and the sea. I spent a semester at Stanford University, where I tried to learn how to surf (I'm still a mess, but it is a goal of mine to learn this).

I’m extremely curious, positive, hands-on, and rarely say no to trying something new. Through workaway I’ve helped build chicken coops, renovate goat farms, being a nanny, cook, tackle DIY projects, and even prepare moose meat for winter from scratch. Basically, I’m happy to get my hands dirty and figure things out along the way.

I’m always up for a new adventure, especially if it involves animals, building something, or getting closer to the ocean or the mountains.
