Hello hello!!!

I have a big passion for the outdoors and am always exploring and adventuring somewhere! I have grown up on a small, remote island just a ferry ride away from Vancouver, BC. My hobbies include climbing, caving, backpacking, anything to do with exploring and trying something new.

I love meeting new people and making friends! I truly enjoy learning about different lifestyles, cultures and languages. Animals are near and dear to my heart, having grown on a small family farm myself. I also love working with children. I have siblings of my own, and am graduating this year with a bachelor in education. I run nature camps in the summer, babysit and nanny!

I am flexible/adaptable, reliable and hardworking. Being around others brings me much joy, as does being surrounded by nature.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

* My experience with the outdoors is quite vast - I went to a wilderness school (Wisdom of the Earth Wilderness School) for five years for my late elementary and middle school years. For my high school, I went to an ecological education program for grades 9-11.
* I have lots of experience with working with children - I have younger siblings of my own, I babysit, I apprenticed for a year at a wilderness school, I run nature summer camps with my friend in the summers, I have worked at preschools, out of school care, and I have taught in a variety of grades (I just graduated with a Bachelor of Education).
* Animals: I have had experience with horses, chickens and sheep. I used to ride horses for 5 years or so. We currently have chickens, ducks, sheep and a dog at our place.
* I have my basic kayaking certification.
* Wilderness First Aid
* The ecological education program I attended in high school involved living off-island with other teens, and learning basic life skills such as cooking, cleaning, caring for ourselves and others, respect and responsibilities.
* I am a huge outdoor enthusiast; I am knowledgeable in climbing, caving, camping, etc.
