Hello everyone!
My name is Alessia, I am an Italian 26 year old and some of my greatest passions are languages, travelling, baking and sports.
After I graduated from college I have lived in Milan where I used to work in a hotel and at the moment I just came back from Hungary where I spent a couple of months as a workawayer in a hostel. It was an amazing experience and I am already looking forward to leaving for another adventure!

I would describe myself as a very patient person who has a positive outlook on life and I always try to find the silver lining in every kind of situation. I take life as it comes and I am really trustworthy when it comes to believing that everything that's supposed to happen, will happen when the time is right.

My experiences with workaway have been truly amazing, that is why I would love to keep meeting people through this platform!

I would gladly learn any language you can teach me since I am always into learning as many new things as I can. As far as I am concerned, I can mainly teach you italian and I would love to do that. Since I studied translation at university, I have been taught some techniques that I think could be very helpful!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I love working with children and spending time with them. I like inventing new activities and games we can play together so that they can have a good time and learn new things.
I've been spending so much time with children throughout my life since I have many little cousins and I have been babysitting during my summers in high school and college.
I spent 2 summers working as an aupair for two different families. The first one was located in northern Spain (La Coruña, Galicia) and the second one was in the wonderful San Diego, CA.

I love learning new languages and teach the ones that I know. I have studied english, spanish and french and my first language is italian. I have had the chance to teach some english when I lived in Spain and besides that, I have also worked in a primary school in Italy providing english classes to 10 year old children. I also taught some basic spanish to kids when I lived in San Diego and New Orleans.

I really love helping people and being of service to them. I spent a lot of time with my grandparents growing up and I did basically everything for them, from cooking to cleaning and simply spending the whole afternoon on the porch with them reading a book or chatting about our day. They will always be a cornerstone of the person that I am today and I'll be forever grateful to have had the chance to know them and spend so much time together.

I love baking and experimenting with new recipes and I would be really happy to cook some italian dishes for you to try.

Meeting new people and making new friendships is something I am extremely into. As I mentioned before, I worked in a couple of hotels and I really love working in this field. It gives me the chance to meet new people from a lot of different cultures every day, have a lot of really interesting conversations and practice foreign languages a lot.

I like doing things that are out of my comfort zone as much as I can. I believe they have helped me grow a lot throughout the years.
I would say that I am a very empathetic person, I love listening to people when they speak, I am very patient and respectful towards everyone ideas and opinions since I have always thought that respect and communication need to be the basis of a good relationship.

I love spending time outdoor and taking long walks especially at sunset
I have been dancing for 10 years (modern dance and ballet) and I am really thankful for all the valuable lessons that that kind of environment taught me.
During the past few years I have been practicing yoga and pilates and I've been truly enjoying all the benefits of these disciplines.
I like reading and watching TV shows, I love listening to podcasts and I also love spending quality time with my family and friends whenever I get the chance.
