Hey there!

My name’s Zelina — I’m 25 years old, warm-hearted, and always up for new adventures.

I’m a nature-loving, outdoorsy person who doesn’t mind getting my hands dirty or doing physical work. I enjoy staying active and usually work out 3–4 times a week. Loving to do long hikes and exploring all the local areas.

I have a big passion for sustainability especially in relation to food and agriculture and love the idea of a self sufficient lifestyle. I have taken a degree in food science which has occupied my last couple years, but through that, I’ve developed a strong interest in how we can make food production more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve lived with chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits, and even reptiles, so I feel very comfortable around all kinds of animals.
I’ve also been living a vegetarian lifestyle for the past few years, and I love cooking delicious plant-based dishes that I’d be happy to share!

During my Workaway stay, I hope to learn more about permaculture and gain hands-on farming experience. In return, I’d love to share my energy, curiosity, and everything I know about food and sustainability.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have some experience with small scale home farming and have a wide variety of plants in my home that I take care of with love, water and sunshine. I've also lived my whole life surrounded by animals and have a lot of experience with animal care, with both chickens, dogs, cats, reptiles and bunnies. as well as just a big heart and love for animals

I also already have some experience with being a volunteer from to other places where I have helped as a communicator for sustainable food production.
As well as experience with working in a gardening shop, so I have some handy skills with plant care.

I’d love to contribute with my cooking skills too, and I’m always excited to make delicious vegetarian meals or learn some more traditional local dishes.

And lastly, I just enjoy being social — so you can expect a good listener, lots of smiles, and someone who’s always up for a nice chat!

I'm a big lover of bord games and would love to enjoy the evenings playing and just relaxing over some tea.
I also really like walking and exploring areas both in the wilderness and city areas, every place has something exiting to offer.
