  Hello.
  We are a warm and welcoming family of 3 living on a beautiful island corfu, Greece.
  We are Julia (39 y) and Matthew (41 y) and our son Henry (3 years). Julia is German and works mainly from home as a project manager for a conscious Festival. German being her mother tongue and she is also fluent in English, which is the family language. Matthew is from New Zealand and works as a carpenter with English being his only language.
  We have 4 adorable cats living with us, which are mainly outside and are well taken care of.
  
  We are seeking a friendly and responsible person to help care for our three-year-old son, Henry, for approximately four to five hours per day. The role also includes light assistance with cooking and cleaning when available. Henry is an active and happy child who enjoys walks to the beach, playing in his upstairs playroom, and spending time outdoors. We have a large outdoor area with a trampoline, slide, providing plenty of space for play and activities. We are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with children and is happy to be part of a family environment.
  
  The work will be 4-5 hours per day, leaving plenty of time for you to explore the local area and enjoy your stay. In exchange for your help, we offer comfortable accommodation in our home, along with all meals and the necessary amenities to ensure you have everything you need.
  
  We have a family car that is used for trips to Corfu town and to the beach and a working Van that is only used by Matthew. We offer to share the car whenever it's not needed. If you like to be fully independent a scooter hire is recommended (12-15€/day).
  
  We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, loves children, and is willing to become part of our family during their stay. If you’re a responsible and kind-hearted person who enjoys cooking, spending time with toddlers, and keeping a home tidy, we would love to hear from you!

  We are both foreigners living in a foreign country. We have a broad network of international friends as well as some local friends.
  
  Matthew is very knowledgeable about any type of woodwork and landscaping as well as golfing and sports, while Julia strength and passion is for digital tools, event organisation and personal growths topics.
  
  We have both traveled extensively for years (Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Central America, Amercia) and can share lots of stories and information on travelling.
  
  We know a lot of good places in Corfu to discover the local cuisine as well as best spots for swimming, relaxing.

  Aide

  We offer accommodation and food in exchange for around 5 hours of help per day, Monday to Friday.
  The main focus of this role is childcare for Henry during Julia’s working hours.
  
  Typical Schedule
  
  07:00–07:30 wake up and morning routine
  08:30 Matthew leaves for work
  09:00–13:30 childcare for Henry while Julia works (from home or elsewhere)
  14:00–15:30 nap time or quiet time
  Afternoons family time at home, beach, or with friends
  19:30 dinner
  20:30 bedtime routine for Henry
  23:00 parents’ bedtime
  
  The schedule may vary slightly depending on the day.
  
  Your Contribution
  
  Childcare (main responsibility)
  • Caring for Henry from 09:00–13:30, Monday to Friday

  • Going for walks, to the beach, playgrounds, or playdates

  Hébergement

  We live in a 60 sq Stone house rented with one ground floor, a massionett space with a separate toilet and Henrys Play area.
  We have one small bathroom with a shower (hot and good pressure), a washing machine and toilet. The joined kitchen and living space are the center of the house.
  In Summer: We do have AC for the main space but not for the single rooms.
  In Winter: We have a fire place that heats the whole house
  
  We have a bedroom where the three of us sleep in.
  We offer you a small room with a bed and shared wardrobe. The room has access to a terrace.
  The bathroom is shared with shower and toilet. A second toilet is available at the top open floor.
  
  We have a big garden (1000 sq), fenced with space for Henry to play, and for you to relax in the Hammock on the terrace or any space in the gras.

  We both love to live in a clean and tidy environment, that makes living with a toddler quite challenging :D
  We spend our freetime entirly with Henry, mostly hanging at the beach, swimming, going out with a boat (join us!) or having dinner with friends.
  
  We live 2 min by car and 15 min walking distance (downhill) from the beach Agios Georgios, but also drive often to Arillas Beach. You can enjoy a beautiful and stunning sunset every single day.
  August and September is still super summer here and even October we still go to the beach. On rainy days you can sit on the porch that is super protected from the rain and enjoy some tranquil time.
  
  Once a week / every 10 days we drive to Corfu town to get all shopping done and enjoy some "city" vibes.
  
  In Arillas area there is loads of activities and events going on such as ecstatic dance , music concerts , yoga classes , cacao ceremonies , soundhealings , singing circles, drumming circles and much more.
  
  There's also lovely cafes and restaurants on the beach and around as the area is beautiful to go on walks and hikes. We are happy to guide you around.
  
  From November till April all cafés and restaurants are closed and love happens a bit more inside and cozy, as rain and storms can hit the island - thats why it's so green in summer.
