Hello lovely people,
Thank you so much for visiting my profile!
I’m a mum of two wonderful children – Amelie (18y) and Timmy (12y) – and we live in the Netherlands. Currently, I work every other week at a small zoo and animal sanctuary in Germany. It’s a job that reflects my deep love and care for animals, nature, and people.
During the summer holidays, I’m hoping to combine this passion with travel, new experiences, and meaningful help. I would love to support a project that needs an extra pair of hands – whether it’s in animal care, around the house, in the garden, or supporting families with everyday tasks. Projects that are connected to sustainability or community well-being are especially close to my heart.
About me
I hold a PhD in animal welfare/ compared psychology and have spent many years working in animal welfare, conservation, and environmental education. I’m a creative soul with a hands-on attitude – I enjoy restoring old things, making jewelry, and designing educational tools for kids and adults. Whether it’s caring for animals, gardening, household help or small renovations – I’m flexible, motivated, and happy to learn new things.
A little wish
For the period from August 11 to August 30, I’m hoping to find a host who would be open to welcoming me with my children. They’re kind, curious, and adaptable, and it would mean the world to me to give them a holiday where we can work, learn, and enjoy time together.
Ideally, I’d love to help in a way that also gives me a bit of time each day to be with them – go for walks, cook together, and simply enjoy the beauty of a shared experience in a new place.
What we love
We enjoy being outdoors – exploring nature, horseback riding, hiking, and spending time by the ocean whenever we can. We love trying out new foods, meeting people from different cultures, and learning about their way of life. Respect, openness, and curiosity guide the way we connect with others.
Projects with a focus on sustainability, community or intercultural exchange are especially meaningful to me.
