Hello, I’m Yoshito Shimawaki from Japan. I’m a university student in Hokkaido, majoring in civil engineering.
I’m planning to travel around the world from July eighth this year to January next year because I want to learn about "different cultures, values, and lifestyles". I think the best way to do this is by living and working with local people, so that’s why I joined Workaway.
I love being active— I cycled all around Kyushu (one of Japan’s islands) this May and biked across Honshu (the main island) about two years ago. So I’m confident with physical work and happy to help out with any chores around the house.
I’ve worked as a tutor before, so I enjoy talking with people and teaching.

※I had practiced Japanese martial arts (Shorinji Kempo) for about 10 years. If you’re interested in Japanese martial arts, I’d love to play together with you!!!
