I enjoy using my practical skills and I particularly enjoy extending my knowledge in my areas of interest, some of which include: goat farming, cheese making, wine making, beekeeping, grafting and agriculture. Being able to utilise my skills and extend my understanding in other countries is very exciting, motivating and certainly brings me happiness.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My childhood was spent on a small dairy farm in New Guinea. My interest in farming led to my studies at agricultural colleges, where I studied horticulture, viticulture and winemaking. My work experiences have been in wineries, breweries and education facilities. Additionally, I have completed a short course in cheesemaking, whilst teaching food technology. I am a beekeeper and have my own hives. In recent years I have developed a particular interest in goat farming and I would love to have practical experiences in this area to supplement the knowledge I have gained from research. I am a very hands-on person and do not shy away from hard work. In Australia, I have volunteered to farm sit whilst farmers are on holidays. This has included caring for livestock. My hobbies are gardening, grafting and fishing. I am a lifelong learner and relish gaining new knowledge and skills. Doing this in other countries is something I really desire.

I enjoy taking my dog for a walk. I love doing long drives where I can experience the country. I delight in learning about how different people do tasks and how they live. Gaining knowledge about other cultures is fascinating.
