Description

We’re a Kiwi family of four from New Zealand currently travelling through Asia and Europe for two years. Annette is a business owner, Greg is an electrician, and our kids Dan and Holly are curious, adventurous, and full of energy. We’re English-speaking, practical, and hands-on people who love meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and showing our kids the world beyond home. We’re always up for a good yarn, a local tip, or lending a hand where we can!

We’re using this time to slow down, connect with new communities, and share our skills while experiencing everyday life in different parts of the world.

We’re no strangers to hard work — we bought our first home young and have spent years raising kids, running a business, and working full time. Now that we’re in a position to take some time out, we’re excited to give back through Workaway while showing our children the value of meaningful contribution.

Greg is a qualified electrician and all-round handy guy — great with tools, maintenance, and fixing things that others walk past. Annette is a natural organiser who loves to clean, declutter, and keep things running smoothly. Together, we’ve lived on lifestyle blocks and farms, so we’re familiar with caring for animals, working with fruit trees, garden maintenance, and planting projects. We’re both comfortable with physical work and enjoy being outdoors.

We’ve also done house sitting and pet care throughout New Zealand, and are very confident with dogs, cats, chickens, birds, and more. Our kids, Dan and Holly, are calm, respectful, and used to being part of a working home — they love learning new things and are always willing to lend a hand.

We’re reliable, easy-going, English-speaking, and community-minded. We’re happy to get stuck in, follow routines, and help wherever needed.

We’re a capable and practical Kiwi family with a wide range of hands-on skills. Annette brings strong business, organisational, and communication experience, having run her own company for several years. Greg is a qualified electrician with a solid background in residential, commercial, and industrial work. We’re both problem-solvers who are great with tools, systems, and getting stuck in where needed. We’re also experienced in working with people, adaptable to new environments, and always keen to learn and contribute wherever we go.
