Description

Hi, I’m Sufiya! I am a curious and spontaneous soul, with a love for slow travel and connecting with nature. I’ve been lucky enough to explore over ten countries and hoping to continue finding opportunities to immerse myself in new cultures.

I have recently graduated university and planning on doing some travels; I enjoy spending longer periods of time in places in hopes of meeting people from different walks of life, exploring a new place in more depth, and experiencing a new culture firsthand. I bring a pretty easygoing energy and a good work ethic, and willingness to learn and help however I can.

In my free time when I'm home in Canada, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and of course my dog 🙃. I am a water baby at heart and enjoy swimming too. I also practice breathwork/meditation, and sometimes play the guitar in my free time.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am pretty adaptable to new projects and not afraid to get hands-on in outdoor work. Key skills and experiences I've had are listed below but I'm open to learning new skills as well!

-General Maintenance: deep cleaning, laundry and tidying spaces, as well as reception experience. I was previously an energy exchanger at a local yoga studio for a few months, where I was responsible for reception and maintaining the environment so it was always welcoming. I also spent a year working at a home-goods store, which gave me a good eye for organization and moving big items aroud.

-Animal Care & Family Help: I love animals and have plenty of experience dog walking in my neighbourhood, as well as my own dog at home :) I’m comfortable helping out with families as well; I’ve spent time as an after-school childcare volunteer and worked as a math and spelling tutor for elementary students, so I'm happy to help with homework or childcare.

-Eco Projects & Gardening: I have some very basic experience with gardening and would love to learn more in this realm. My grandmother is a big garden enthusiast, so I grew up helping her with basic tasks in the garden like watering, weeding, etc. My family recently started our own garden beds in out backyard with some veggies and herbs growing in the summer, which I've helped to maintain.

-Digital & Social Media: I am very comfortable in the digital space. I recently helped a film company develop their social media strategy, but also can help out with social media editing or posting, etc!
