Description

I am a responsible and experienced traveler- I’ve been to 9 countries! I love to hike, ski, and of course: horseback ride 🐎 My goal is to become a better horsewoman and become more worldly all at once. I’d especially love to learn more about horse training. I really love working with horses and have a lot of experience with it, and I can’t wait to be immersed in the South American lifestyle.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Before I arrive, I will have completed ten weeks of volunteer work near Pucón, Chile, as a horse riding guide at a ranch not through workaway. I will have worked in customer hospitality, as a riding guide, and as a horse caretaker, including knowledge of basic Chilean Spanish and the Chilean riding style. Previously, I have thirteen years of riding experience, mainly in English hunter jumper riding. I’ve also ridden Saddleseat and some Western. I have teaching experience for riders of all ages in the United States, as I was a tech at my lesson barn for three years. I taught horsemanship on the ground, including how to correctly groom, tack, mount and dismount, and basic riding teaching. I also am familiar with handling horses, catching them in fields, mucking, feeding, and grooming. I have a Wilderness First Responder certification. I know basic French. My Spanish will be basic, but I am always working to learn more!
