Description

I am a 62 year old man who has much in the way of life experience.
My goal through Workaway is to connect with people in peace and harmony as the primary aim. I enjoy helping people with their visions, which in turn broadens my horizons to better understand and create my own visions.

In 2018, I gave away all of my possessions and decided to be a minimalist for awhile. My long-term goal is to find a new location to start an organic farm- or there could very well be a joint venture out there somewhere.

I'm easy-going and can effectively communicate with virtually any manner of personality, given there exists mutual respect and healthy boundaries. The goal for me is to have an engaging, lively & beautiful experience, wherein work, projects, etc are a component of the overall experience. I'm a Live and Let Live guy, or “Live Simply, So Others May Simply Live!”

My stay with Trang and her parents was an experience I will keep with me and treasure. I was honored to live with a traditional Vietnamese family and enjoy their culture.

We had wonderful meals together with very healthy food. Trang’s parents are lovely people and saw to it that I had what I needed.

Gregory was a great volunteer. He did excellent work and got some projects done for us. He is extremely respectful and has a good work ethic, as well as skills. An all-around enjoyable guy. You can't go wrong.

Eric and Wendy were excellent hosts. Their home sits in the midst of a gorgeous property, located high above the city of San Jose. The view was amazing and the meals they prepared were superb.

I couldn’t call communing with nature work. Working on the landscape was akin to maintaining a beautiful work of art.

Wow! Gregory is amazing! He came to help me replace the transmission in the old farm truck. He spent countless hours everyday working away at it, doing research, making multiple trips to town, coordinating borrowing tools from my neighbor down the road (who he quickly became friends with).
