Hi everybody,
My name is Satoko and I'm from Japan. Currently, I'm took a leaves of absence in my forth year of college looking to travel for the year.
I am learning about social issues such as poverty and environmental issues at university. I'm really into language learning and teaching as well as discovering new cultures. I'm an open minded person and reallly active, I try to keep myself busy most of the time.
I love working with people, since my curiosity for the diversity of humans and their different ways of thinking and living life is endless. What I value most in terms of human interaction are open and respectful communication and an attitude of openness and appreciation towards everything in the other person that is new to me.
For leisure, I enjoy drawing as well as reading books and spending time with people. I have a huge interest in art and design so visiting a western country will be eye-opening and like a completely new world for me.
I am so excited to meet you, to soak up any skills or knowledge you are willing to share, and possibly make a small positive change in our world. I will do everything in my power to be a respectful and gracious guest.

I have lived in an international dormitory attached to a university for about a year. At that time, I was teaching Japanese to foreigners who were interested in Japan. I want to interact more with people from overseas, so I would like to teach languages.
