Hey there!
We are Sam and Celeste, two 20-year-old university best friends from Belgium. We are currently in our second year at Esade University in Barcelona, studying a Bachelor in Global Governance, Economics, and Legal Order. During our university break in January, we are hoping to take part in a meaningful volunteering project in Africa; something we have both dreamed about and cared deeply for a long time.

Having studied abroad for several years, we have had the chance to live and learn alongside people from all around the world. This experience taught us how powerful diversity can be, and we truly believe that bringing together people from different backgrounds helps break down the fictional barriers that separate us. We therefore cherish this diversity, which has allowed us to evolve and be open-minded.

Volunteering has always been an important part of our lives. We have already taken part in various social, cultural, and environmental projects. Giving back simply feels like the best way to thank the world for the opportunities we have been given. That is what brought us to Workaway: to keep learning, sharing, and contributing while meeting amazing people along the way!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are two friends who truly enjoy life and are always open to new experiences and discoveries. People describe us as curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. Our previous experiences have taught us to be committed, responsible, and independent, while always valuing teamwork and collaboration to make a greater impact.

Scouting was our first step into the beautiful world of volunteering, and it played a huge role in shaping who we are today. It taught us about community life, teamwork, autonomy, leadership, and solidarity. Through scouting, we had the chance to volunteer in Croatia and Bulgaria, where we helped rebuild and renovate schools, make learning spaces more enjoyable for students, and even taught French lessons. These experiences inspired us to keep volunteering throughout our lives, and we would love to share more about those experiences once we get the chance to meet :)

We love stepping out of our comfort zone and taking on new challenges. Working with others toward a shared goal truly motivates us, and we would be more than happy to contribute in any way we can to your wonderful projects!

Céleste and I share a passion for sports. It is not just one of our interests; it is a big part of who we are. Staying active is essential to our well-being and gives us the balance we need in our everyday lives. We would therefore love to share some time with you hiking, going for an early run, or kicking a football around!
