Hi,
My name is Raphaël, I'm 19 years old. I'm from Brittany, France. I've been studying journalism here for almost two years. Between September 2025 and May 2026, I'd like to take a break from my studies to spend a year in Ireland. I'd like to use this year to better discover this country, where I already spent a few weeks in the summer of 2024, and to improve my English.

I'm interested in a lot of things! I obviously love current events, but I also enjoy board games, reading, writing, and going for walks. I really like stop motion, which I used to do when I was younger. I could introduce you to it if you'd like. I also enjoy sports. I've played volleyball, badminton, and swimming. I have a brown belt in judo and I love running, which I do regularly. I still enjoy playing all team sports, like soccer, for example.

More broadly, I love talking and learning new things. I'm always open to meeting new people and discovering new activities.

By coming to Ireland, my goal—in addition to discovering more of this magnificent country—is to improve my English as much as possible so that I can communicate easily after a year. Once there, I plan to work on my English by speaking with as many people as possible, but I'm also ready to sign up for classes... ...and to teach them! I'm French, and I'm also perfectly fluent in this language, which I can teach if you'd like. I'm not a teacher, but as a journalism student, I'm bound to know it very well.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Highly motivated to come and spend a year in Ireland, I can do a variety of activities. I can babysit, look after pets, clean, work in the garden, give French lessons, or other things if you need it. I'm used to doing all of these things, and I have no doubt that these activities will go well. If there are things I don't know how to do properly from the start, I'll learn them very quickly.

I was a junior firefighter, so I have knowledge and skills in first aid.
