Description
Hello everyone!
My name is Paolo and I am an Italian guy living in London. When I found out about WorkAway, my life changed: this is exactly a dream came true.
This is how I see life and how I would like to live it: travelling. But not travelling between 5-star hotels, all-inclusive package holidays, comfort and luxury. No, No, NO!
I want to immerge myself in the culture, I would like to fully live the experience with locals, getting to know their habits and beliefs, their language, their way of cooking, speaking, thinking.
I do think diversity is the highest form of strength and enrichment of a society - and I can tell you by living in London!
Cultural exchange: there is nothing I am more passionate about. I like reading about different destinations, learning new languages and sharing my experiences and adventures.
I am extremely adaptable to different environments and situations, I am very down to earth, approachable and always smiling and cheering everyone up. At work, they call me "little ray of sunshine" and I love it.
I work as a physiotherapist for the National Health Service - helping people is a kind of job I would never change. Seeing a smile or hearing a "thank you" from a patient who is sick is the best and most valuable reward I can have.
I am a very fast learner, with excellent communication skills, extremely passionate about animals, I can cook (hey, who wouldn't like a home made lasagne or pasta?! I’d also love to share some mamma’s tips!).
I’m not afraid but excited to get my hands dirty, being in the mud or animals' poo, ready for new challenges.
Definitely an outdoor person: I just love everything that involves being in the open air, in the nature.
I enjoy trekking, hiking, discovering the unknown, swimming, horse riding, forest bathing.
I think I am writing too much - I can confidently say you will not be disappointed by hosting me! It will be great work, great help and great fun!!
