Dear Future Host Family,
We are an international married couple. My name is Olga and I am from Ukraine and my husband Murat is originally from Turkey.
Last year I spent working as a waitress/ cashier in a cafe in Wells Grey Park (1 hour drive from Clearwater and 2 hours drive from Kamloops, BC) from mid June till mid September and before that I used to work for H&R Block (tax filling office) as receptionist in İnuvik from mid February till April 2023.
Both of us have been working in area of hospitality quite a lot. Murat has more than 12 years work experience in the same company in food and beverage department in Rixos Hotel in Antalya, Turkey.
For next 3 years we are planning to work and travel around Canada and looking for any opportunities to participate in long run project including animals care, gardening, handy craft, serving food and breakfasts, running till, cashiering duties, mentaining cleanliness, renting kayak /canoos, housekeeping, guests service /reception as well.
Since March 2024 my husband and me are doing our workaway project in Teslin, Yukon. It's a small grocery store and motel. The main duties are running the till, stocking shelves, checking /check out guests and maintain cleanliness.
I have been doing different workaway project for the last 3 years. This is my 3d long run project in Canada and 6th in general. We do love the idea of being helpful and proactive in exchange of new experience, free accommodation and meeting new friends all over the world. You can easily read the feedbacks from my previous hosts in here below. I do love all of them and greatful a lot for unforgetable memorries and experience as well.

My mother language is Ukrainian. I speak English quite fluently. My boyfriend is Turkish that's why i keep learning Turkish as well. Plus i can speak and understand Danish on daily basis too.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

For the last 3 years i used to work as an English teacher in kindergarten in Thailand. I used to work as au pair in Denmark and Norway and being around the kids is what makes me happy.

I love sports. I play tennis and swim a lot. I go for jogging and if your family is active in sparts I would be just happy to join you🙂
If you live on a farm or have a summer house I can help with gardening or animals.

I am expirienced Front Office Agent and used to work in the area of hospitality too. I know what is the daily routine for hotel run business and if you have some home running hotel I can help with cleaning, cooking or maintaining the area around.

I hope my future host family will be living near the beach or nature so I can go for swimming or walking from time to time🙂
