    I'm Nicole, a 29-year-old globetrotter originally from Santiago, Chile, with a passion for exploring new cultures and cuisines. Having lived in various countries throughout my life, I've developed a deep appreciation for diversity and a knack for adapting to new environments seamlessly.

    My journey started at a young age when my family relocated to The Netherlands and later California, exposing me to different languages and lifestyles. This early exposure nurtured my fluency in both Spanish and English, invaluable assets that have enriched my personal and professional life.

    After completing my studies in Nutrition in Chile, I embarked on an enriching adventure to Copenhagen, Denmark, where I pursued a master's degree in Food Innovation and Health. During my three years in Denmark, I immersed myself in the vibrant culinary scene, working as a cook in various settings, from popular restaurants to corporate canteens.
    Continuing my culinary odyssey, I ventured Down Under to Australia for a year, where I further honed my skills as a cook in diverse culinary landscapes, including remote farm kitchens and bustling cafes. Alongside my culinary endeavors, I embraced opportunities in hospitality, gaining experience in office receptions and event management.

    In June 2023, I had the privilege of revisiting Japan, a country that captured my heart years earlier. The allure of its rich culture, breathtaking cuisine, and warm hospitality beckoned me to delve deeper. Fuelled by this passion, I embarked on a working holiday adventure, fulfilling my dream of immersing myself in Japanese life.

    I firmly believe that the true essence of a culture can be experienced through meaningful interactions with locals. That's why I'm thrilled to embark on my Workaway journey, eager to contribute my skills and learn from the vibrant tapestry of Japanese life.

    As a person, I pride myself on my simplicity and approachability. I find joy in lending a helping hand, whether it's sharing my culinary expertise, social media experience, teaching languages or diving headfirst into new learning experiences.

    * Cooking/Hospitality: My passion for food knows no bounds – whether it's crafting delectable dishes, sharing meals with others, exploring new culinary horizons, or immersing myself in diverse food cultures. Over the past 5 years, I've refined my skills in various culinary environments, including restaurants specializing in Greek, Italian, Danish, and Australian cuisines, as well as brunch cafés and corporate canteens. I excel in menu planning with a focus on nutritional balance and have the knowledge for accommodating special dietary needs. Furthermore, I'm committed to sustainability and have experience in developing food products using by-products to promote a circular economy. Additionally, I hold a HACCP certification to ensure the highest standards of food safety.

    * Educational Programs: As a dietitian, I've had the privilege of designing and implementing educational programs centered around health, nutrition, and holistic well-being. Through these programs, I've empowered employees across diverse industries to adopt healthier lifestyles and eating habits. Witnessing participants explore new concepts and embrace positive change has been immensely fulfilling.

    * Receptionist: From volunteering as a hostel receptionist to handling reception duties in various Australian companies and serving as check-in staff for events and cruises, I've gained valuable experience in providing top-notch customer service and administrative support.

I'm proficient in tools like Canva to enhance visual storytelling and engagement.

    * Cleaning and Housekeeping: My experiences in maintaining cleanliness and organization span a diverse array of settings, including guesthouses, Airbnb accommodations, and farm environments.
