Description

Hi, I’m Nae! My aspiration is to learn about farming, art, language, agro-ecology, and sovereignty in food systems all over the world.

Most of my experience is in growing diversified annual vegetables, maintaining gardens, and tending food forests. I would love to learn about plants and practices that I don’t know, as well as skills like building, carpentry, and taking care of animals.

I’m open to new experiences and eager to get my hands dirty helping out in community with others!

Janae stayed with us for 2 weeks, Janae is a good worker , has a great sense of humor and very easy to work with , Janae worked on our gardens had a great knowledge of plants , great operator on the log splitter (9.5 out of10) , helped with farm chores and helped in the house . I'm so grateful to have been able to stay and help for 2 weeks 💛 It was an experience of meeting incredible people, music, nourishing food, and the privilege of immersion in Te Reo Māori at the school. I loved helping at the school, working in the greenhouse, and projects fixing things here and there. Nga mihi for everything, Lisa! ✨

Staying with Andy and Dalina and getting to know them and all the kids was such a pleasure. They had so much generosity and flexibility, letting me stay longer than I had planned as I was dealing with car trouble. Learned a lot about fencing and other aspects of taking care of animals! I felt mutually cared for as well <3

Craig and Rachel set the bar high as my first workaway in NZ! So much warm generosity and seriously amazing meals. The property itself is a slice of heaven, I loved walking to the beach everyday after working.

It was such a pleasure to stay with this family! I learned so much about syntropic agroforestry, and the kids were so sweet. They made amazing home grown meals and were so generous with recommendations and flexibility so I could explore the area.
