Description

Hi, my name is Mike, I consider myself a kind and friendly person, and I try to help other people out in any way I can. I enjoy being active, and find most activities enjoyable, especially when it means I can get out into nature.

I have been lucky enough to travel to 16 different countries, mostly solo, in my life so far. One of my favourite parts of travelling is meeting new people from all walks of life, and sharing stories and outlooks on life. I am also an animal lover (especially dogs) and I volunteered at an animal sanctuary in Ecuador in 2020.

I have done my fair share of DIY trying to convert a (tiny) van into a camper over the last year. I have picked this up with no prior experience, and am a true believer you can learn to do anything after watching a couple of YouTube videos! I am a quick learner and can take on any task with a little instruction first.

I am also a bit of a computer nerd, I have been a full-time front-end web developer for the last 3 and a half years, so could definitely give you a hand with anything website-related.

My Spanish is at a very basic level (I have not practised enough since my trip to Ecuador) and not at a conversational level, but I am hoping to improve on my trip.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Web development - I am very computer literate, and I can probably help with any kind of computer or electrical gadget issues you're having. I have studied a web developer course last year, and I now have a good amount of experience building websites, this is a career I am hoping to move into in the future, and I would be delighted to help out with your website if you need it.

Physically fit - I am very physically able, and am happy to take on physically challenging jobs. I have helped friends and family with different DIY projects before, so I have used most tools and some power tools at least once before, and I can be a fast learner with a bit of instruction and direction.

Willingness to learn - as I am still fairly young, I am very motivated by a willingness to learn and pick up new skills from all different areas of life, and I think if a job's worth doing, it's worth doing properly.

Cooking - I love to cook for myself and others, whether it is my signature chilli con carne, or simply a meal I've thrown together with what's left in my cupboard, I try my best to make all my meals both healthy and delicious!

Animals - I am a complete animal lover, so I'd be more than happy to work with any kind of animal, I volunteered at an animal sanctuary in the Amazon last year with all kinds of different animals. I have a special love for dogs, and I love to walk with them, train them, and have a cuddle with them in the evening :)

Tidy/Clean - I am a very clean and tidy person, I love waking up on a Sunday morning and having time to tidy my room + change the bedsheets! When your own spaces are all tidy and clean, I think it really helps your mindset for whatever you choose to take on next :) I can hoover, wash up, clean, wash clothes, change bedsheets, or any other basic cleaning job you might need me to complete.
