Description

Hello there,
My name is Merle, I finished my A-levels in 2021 and am now ready for some adventures and exploring some beautiful nature:)
Last year, I participated in an environmental project against plastic-pollution in Norway for six weeks and I loved it!
It showed me that working or doing something meaningful while travelling is the most satisfactory way of travelling for me! Also, it gives the best insight on other cultures and their way of living!
I don't like to be a tourist! :)

I enjoy cooking and game nights with friends and family. Also, I like drawing and doing sports, preferably in nature. For example, I have surfed a few times now and I would love to get better at it! :)

I plan on starting to study medicine next semester and want to use every minute of freedom before that! :D

I am looking forward to gaining experiences and learning things for life! :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Even though I am not a chef, I love to cook and bake (especially with others). I am used to cook for a larger number of people, because I often put something together for my family. I also recently started to work in a small café, where I either work in the kitchen (cooking, cleaning dishes) or in the service (as waitress and cashier, serving customers).

I have babysitted several children between the age of 1-6 years for a few years now. I enjoy being creative, drawing and baking with the children. Additionally, I can offer to help with their homework or even tutor them, since I like to explain and have much patience :)

As a German, I can teach my mother tongue. I also speak english fluently (niveau B2) and know some french and the basics of italian.

I love animals and taking care of them. For example, my cat Carlo loves to bring dead mice as presents, so I don't clamor cleaning up such messes... :D

Growing up I had access to my father's workshop for e.g. crafting projects (for example, I recently built a bird house). Hence, I know how to use many of the tools. I helped my sister to move several times, so I have some experience in building up furniture.

I can also provide help with gardening, since I don't mind getting my hands dirty and often help my parents in our own garden (harvesting, planting, mowing lawn).

Of course all of the above is just the gist of what I am capable of ;) I am a quick learner, I can adapt easily and I am open and looking forward to learning new skills!

Uff, what else... I took a diving license a few years ago and would love to refresh my knowledge if the opportunity arises! :)
Also, I am fully vaccinated against Covid!
And recently finished a paramedics education (the one that only takes 3 months)
