Hello! I'm Martina, nice to meet you :)
I'm from Italy, I'm 25 and I've recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Sciences Po Paris, where I specialized in Energy, Environment, and Sustainability.

Over the past few years, I’ve been exploring how to combine my studies with hands-on environmental action, and that’s exactly what brought me to platforms like Workaway. I’m passionate about protecting nature, learning from others, and contributing to projects that have a positive impact on people and the planet.

This summer, I joined In The Same Boat in Norway, a wonderful non-profit organization dedicated to cleaning the Norwegian coastline from marine litter. It was a truly unique and transformative experience: we lived and worked on a sailing boat, spending our days removing plastic waste from remote beaches and islands. The work was physically demanding but incredibly rewarding.
The summer before, I spent three months in Iceland volunteering with the NGO Worldwide Friends. There, I led educational workshops on climate change and ocean protection, coordinated international teams of volunteers, and participated in clean-up activities .
These experiences taught me that I love working outdoors, that I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty, and that I truly enjoy sharing and teaching about sustainability and environmental protection.

I’m fluent in English, French, and Italian, and I speak a bit of Spanish and German too — I love how languages open doors to different worlds and ways of thinking.

Outside of work and studies, I’m an outdoor enthusiast through and through! I love rock climbing, hiking, skiing, and have been playing volleyball at a competitive level for over 15 years. Being active, connected to nature, and surrounded by people with shared purpose is what keeps me energized.

I’m currently looking for volunteer experiences especially connected to environmental protection, nature conservation, or sustainability education — but I’m also very happy to help with community activities or anything where I can contribute and learn something new.

I'm confident in teaching both Italian and English. I'm also fluent in French (C1 level) and eager to deepen my knowledge of Spanish too! I really value the chance to get a grasp of local languages wherever I go, as I believe it's a beautiful way to connect with people and cultures.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Multilingual proficiency in Italian (mother tongue), English (C1/C2 level), French (C1 level), and German (B2 level) and Spainish (B1/B2) broadens my ability to communicate and connect across various cultures.

Teaching children about the Sustainable Development Goals during my experience in the AIESEC organization equipped me with effective teaching abilities.

Passionate about climate and the environment, I actively participated in environmental awareness projects, including a work camp in Iceland involving manual work such as trash hunting and the restoration and maintenance of a mountain path.

I have always had many dogs, and along with my past experience in horse riding, I have a strong affinity towards animals.

My roles at Bocconi University and Trento's Municipality have equipped me with robust organizational and administrative skills, ensuring smooth project implementation.

As a dedicated team player, my 15 years of experience as a volleyball player have given me strong teamwork skills, a sense of discipline, and perseverance.
