A 21-Year-Old Explorer Ready for New Adventures!

Hi there! I’m Margherita, a 21-year-old Italian student with a passion for discovering the world, meeting new people, and sharing good vibes.

I’m currently studying Economics and Business at the University of Parma—yes, the city famous for Parmesan cheese and prosciutto (and yes, I can confirm they taste even better here). I live in a lovely spot in Emilia-Romagna, not far from the hills, where life is a mix of stunning landscapes and delicious food.

In my free time, you’ll probably find me on a volleyball court trying to avoid face-planting while diving for a ball, or at a restaurant with my friends, enjoying food I definitely didn’t cook myself. Speaking of company, I’m also a proud cat lover (if you have cats, you’re automatically my favorite host).

I come from a lively family with two siblings I’m really close to—they’ve been my partners in crime since forever. I also have a soft spot for kids (when they’re in their fun and cheerful mode, of course!)

But what truly excites me is traveling. I love exploring new places, learning about different cultures, and creating memories that’ll make great stories someday. Workaway seems like the perfect opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, improve my English, and grow as a person while lending a hand wherever needed.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m a girl who’s not afraid to roll up her sleeves and I take responsibilities seriously. Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience in different areas, and here’s a closer look at my skills:

Customer Service and Organizational Skills: I’ve been working weekly in a pastry shop for the last two years, managing customer service with professionalism. This experience has taught me how to stay organized under pressure since it's a very busy shop, handle multiple tasks at once, and ensure every customer feels valued. I’ve also had the chance to train new team members, guiding them through their tasks and helping them integrate smoothly into the team.

Reliability and Responsibility: I consider myself a serious and reliable worker—someone you can count on to show up, follow through, and give my best effort every time.

Youth Mentoring and Babysitting: I’ve spent time managing after-school activities at a community center, working with elementary and middle school children. Through this, I’ve developed creativity and communication skills to keep kids engaged and motivated. I’ve also done babysitting for younger children, so I’m confident in managing little ones with care and responsibility.

Animal Care (Especially Cats!): I love animals, especially cats. I know how to care for them, feed them, and most importantly, respect their moods (cats are basically royalty, right?).

Home and Daily Tasks: I’m comfortable managing household chores and keeping spaces clean and organized. While cooking isn’t exactly my strong suit, I’m always happy to help out in the kitchen (and even happier to taste-test the results).

I enjoy sports like volleyball, which have taught me teamwork, resilience, and the importance of staying positive—even when the ball doesn’t quite go where I wanted it to!

I feel I am a really tidy and organized young woman, I love planning early and I'm never late!

In short, I’m someone who brings commitment, and a strong work ethic to any task. I’m excited about this new adventure, ready to help wherever needed, and can’t wait to meet the people who’ll be part of this experience!
