Hi! My name is Marco, I’m a 25-year-old Italian university student from Busto Arsizio, Italy. While I’m waiting to complete my degree in April, I would like to use these months to grow personally and gain new experiences. I speak Italian and English, and I’m very motivated to improve my English through daily life experiences.

I’m a very active and sporty person: I love being outdoors and I regularly practice sports such as climbing, surfing, cycling and snowboarding. Nature plays an important role in my life, and I really enjoy spending time in the mountains, hiking and exploring natural environments. I also love animals, and I’m used to taking care of them, I spend a lot of time looking after my girlfriend’s animals: two dogs, a cat and two chickens. Among them there is Blu, an energetic big dog who has become my dog, and with whom I love sharing all my adventures.

I would describe myself as a sociable, smiling and enthusiastic person. I’m tidy, curious, open-minded and always ready to challenge myself and learn new things. I enjoy living with other people, sharing experiences and contributing positively to a group. I also love cooking and enjoy doing hands-on and DIY projects.

During my university studies, I worked for three years as a Deliveroo rider on my beloved Vespa, which helped me become responsible, independent and organized.

I’m passionate about traveling and adventure. My last two trips were road trips by car, sleeping only in campsites, which taught me adaptability and a simple lifestyle. I also had two study holiday experiences in England, where I lived with a host family for one month each time, an experience that really helped me grow and appreciate cultural exchange.

I would like to do a Workaway experience to discover a new country by living its everyday life, improve my English, learn new skills and share my energy and enthusiasm with my hosts.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have good practical and hands-on skills and I enjoy physical and outdoor work. Together with my father, I have painted and renovated our entire home, so I am confident with painting and basic maintenance tasks. I can mow the lawn, use tools such as a lawn mower and brush cutter, and I am comfortable with basic repairs. I also have experience with gardening and taking care of vegetable gardens, including general maintenance and daily care.  I also enjoy DIY projects, especially working with wood.

I am very comfortable taking care of animals. I have experience feeding them, cleaning their spaces and walking dogs, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and caring for their daily needs.

Cooking is another strong skill of mine. I enjoy cooking regularly and often invite friends over to cook for them. I like experimenting with new recipes and I am happy to help with meal preparation for families or groups.

I enjoy working with other people and I adapt easily to team environments. I am curious, motivated and always willing to learn new skills or help with different tasks when needed.
