**Looking for a Workaway for December – Western Australia (Perth)**

G'day, Australia! We're thrilled to be heading your way in December and excited to dive into new experiences. We’re hardworking, enthusiastic, and ready to get involved wherever we’re needed – from building and gardening to caring for animals. Do you have a project that would be a good fit for us?

We are Marc and Mirj, a Swiss couple who loves to explore the world. Currently, we find ourselves in one of our grandest adventures: we've taken some time off (Marc completely, and I, Mirj, still work 20% online) to travel the world, meet people from all walks of life, engage in cultural exchanges, and simply have a fantastic time.

We are two open-minded individuals who highly value intercultural exchange. We often try to escape mass tourism, as we are particularly fascinated by the authentic lives of locals. In our leisure time, we are incredibly active, engaging in various outdoor activities such as hiking, kite-surfing, fishing (Marc's hobby), skiing, snowboarding, and much more.

Marc works in Switzerland as a carpenter and project planner, making him the practical half of our duo. I, Mirj, come from a graphic background and currently work in the marketing department of a company. Together, we complement each other perfectly and enjoy taking on projects as a team. I bring creativity, while Marc brings practical skills and humor.

We both have a passion for gardening. While Marc has the greener thumb, I have a soft spot for animals, particularly horses. They fascinate me, and I love spending time with them, learning more about them, and riding. (I took riding lessons as a child, though that was many years ago, so I’m not at a professional level – but I’d love to get there.) In a past Workaway, I’ve had the chance to introduce horses to people, handle their «first contacts» with humans, gradually accustom them to halters, and train them to walk on a lead. It was an incredible experience.

On our travels, we’ve already had the opportunity to experience some amazing Workaway stays (not all visible on this profile, as we’ve revisited some previous hosts who are no longer active on Workaway). Our recent tasks have included renovation work, remodeling, repairs, building a stable for horses, setting up a building’s vinyl facade, painting, watering by moving pipes, working with horses, and gardening. So, we’re definitely not afraid to get our hands dirty!

Furthermore, we both enjoy cooking and eating, always eager to try new things. We prefer to consume food grown in our own garden, with a motto of healthy and fresh eating. Here it's probalby good to mentioning that I, Mirj, do not eat meat. We believe that sharing meals is a wonderful way to connect cultures and make new friends. Therefore, we would be delighted to sit down at the table with you.

Now, we are on the lookout for new adventures around the globe and look forward to meeting you. We are ready for the next exciting leg of our journey and can't wait to meet new people and create unforgettable memories together.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Both of us are naturally curious and enjoy continuously learning new things. You can utilize us for various tasks, both hands-on and related to gardening, working with animals, and more. We are equally open to new experiences, whether it's working behind a bar, in a lodge, or caring for guests – all of these pique our interest.

Our skills are as described. Marc works as a carpenter and planner in Switzerland, which provides him with craftsmanship and a green thumb that he enjoys using in his free time.

I work in marketing and am willing to provide support if there is interest. This could involve tasks such as generating social media posts for a project. In my free time, I enjoy painting and being active outdoors. I love to be physically involved and assist Marc with hands-on projects. I'm always eager to pitch in. I've also enjoyed working with animals in the past, particularly horses.

In general, we are open to a wide range of tasks and look forward to making a meaningful contribution.
