Hey there,
my name is Maja and I am currently 22 years old.
I grew up in a small town in Bavaria with my three younger siblings.
After graduating school I took a year off to travel and do workaway, which was an incredible experience.
Now I am going to university (starting my fourth year studying medicine now) which I really like.

In my free time i coached several youth teams in my local basketball club and that is something i am very passionate about. Working with children in gerneral, as I do tutoring as well.
Basketball itself, or basically all sorts of activity related to sport is also something I enjoy a lot.

I love to be outside, nature fascinates me.

I am currently trying to learn Spanish again and am very thankful for every bit of help I get there. I am very open to learning literally every other language, though I am especially interested in learning a few words Irish, other old languages or a Scandinavian language. I could teach German and also French, though I have not spoken it in over two years and might need a little heads up so I can prepare myself.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I did a lot of tutoring in many subjects such as among other German, English, Maths and Physics, so I would definitely be able to help children with their homework or preparation for exams. I would also say I am capable of helping someone to learn German as a foreign language.

When it comes to children, I have been a youth basketball coach for almost 6 years now and have trained children between 8 and 15 years. In this time i was responsible for organising camps and gamedays, trained the kids, supervised them and coached their games. I also have a German trainer license. I really enjoy working with children, am capable of watching them and unfortunantely also have a little experience in how to deal with injured/hurt children.


My parents bought an old house a few years back and I helped renovate it. Through this I learned many useful skills, f.e. how to make the floor, how to paint, how to plaster etc. I also learned how to find creative solutions for unexpected problems, that will eventually come, when renovating a house.

I helped a lot in our garden growing up, especially when it comes to my grandparents garden, where we grow apples and grapes and make our own apple juice and wine.
We also have a vegetable garden, where I helped a lot, from planting to harvesting.

I bake a lot and am used to cook for our family of 6.

I have experience with animal as well, as we have chicken, rabbits and a cat at home and i spend quite some time at a pig sanctuary in Ireland.

I have been working at a catering service an in a small breakfast café here in Germany for the past two years now, so I have experience in waitressing and bartending as well. I also work at a christmas market in the winter time, at a sausage stand, where I grill and sell the food.

I love to read anything I can get in my fingers and I really like board games, basically all of them (with the exception of monopoly, I always loose...).

I am not really good at it, but kayaking is something I really like.
