Hi, my name is Lona:)
I´m 20 years old, I am from Germany and I recently finished school. Before I start studying next year, I want to travel and get to know lots of new places and people around the world. I want to get out of my comfort zone, gain as many new experiences as possible and learn about many new cultures, languages and ways of life. I´m helpful, friendly, curious, open-minded, empathetic, reliable and organized and I really enjoy helping other people and animals.
I love being out in nature and exploring it. I enjoy hiking, going for walks, swimming, and watching the sunset. But I also really enjoy playing volleyball or board and card games, cooking and baking together, listening to music, or watching movies. I also love trying out new cafés, painting, and reading, as well as spending lots of time with people – chatting, laughing and having new experiences together:)
I hope to experience and learn a lot of new things during my time abroad, and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and having a great time together!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

During my school years, I´ve gained experiences in various fields through a number of internships. I lived and worked on a large farm for three weeks with many other volunteers from all over the world. There, I took care of the various animals and tended the garden.
I also spent six weeks at a kindergarten and a daycare center, which gave me experience working with children. Since then, I’ve also been looking after a girl - who is now five - from time to time.
I'd be happy to help out in the garden and around the house. I also enjoy taking care of children or pets, and I like cooking with others. I have some experience with art and creative design (painting) and can help with that as well. However, I'm open to a wide range of activities and would love to learn many new skills and languages:)

My next travel destination is Italy (Florence and Genova) starting in mid/late September. I'm going on a two-month Interrail trip through Italy, France, and Spain, and I'd love to find some travel buddies:)
