Hej, I'm Kathi! 🌸
and thank you for stumbling onto my little profile :)
I'm originally from Germany, but life has taken me on some funny detours. After school I went to Japan on a working holiday, and eneded up staying for eight years. It became a real home, I studied architecture, worked in corporate, learned the language and built a life here...Even so, Sweden has always been the quiet dream in the back of my mind and in my heart.
The nature, the calm, the idea of a more grounded daily life. One day I just realized that I didn't want to just keep imagining it anymore, so I packed my things, said goodbye to beloved Japan and now am on my way to start a new chapter in Sweden.
For now, I am looking forward to warm and meaninful exchanges. I enjoy being part of simple daily life, helping out, share moments together. Whether it's cooking together, having a conversation, caring for animals or just sitting down with a cup of tea after a long day.
I absolutely love animals, small or big. I am also very happy helping around the house, outdoors or wherever support is needed. I am easygoing, respectful of routines, an absolute morning-person and comfortable both with quiet time or buzzy conversations. I do have heard opinions of people calling me an "energetic whirlwind" ;)
I am used to living abroad and adapting to new environments and mutual respect and a sense of responsibility is something I am taking very seriously.
What I'm hoping to learn and experience?
I'd love to learn more about everyday life in Sweden. How do people live close to nature, care for animals and teir surroundings, how do they create such a balanceful rhythm between work and rest? (Oh, believe me I have seen the complete opposite during my worklife in Japan...).
I'm especially interested in animal care, sustainable living and practical skills I can take with me into the future. More than anything I am hoping for a genuine human connection and a feeling of being part of something. Even if its just for a little while :)

My Swedish is semewhat on a pre-A2 level and since I am planning to stay for quite the while in this beautiful country I need to get better in my Swedish >.< On the other hand I can teach you any of my other languages I speak!

I have obtained an international drivers license but I am trained in the Japnaese way ( left-way, like in the UK) so I am no Michael Schumacher in this field and will need to practice for a while.
