Hello, I`m Johanna, 28, from the south of Germany.

I grew up with my three siblings on a small farm in a typical bavarian village in the alps, that's why I guess, I was always connected to nature and the "simple" way of life. I like being outside a lot. Hiking, running or swimming in cold lakes and rivers makes me feel alive. For the last couple of years, I did a mix of city live and countryside - following studies on Environmetal Management and Agriculture- while travelling from time to time, learning about life.

Besides landscapes, I love meeting people. So both kinds of work would make me happy: working outdoors in gardening or farming, or helping in a hostel, guesthouse, café, or restaurant. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be hosted and to experience longer stays with a local family. I’m usually flexible and adapt quickly, with an open spirit and lots of curiosity to learn every day.

Some experience that comes to my mind:

- 12 or more years of part-time working in gastronomy: waitress, kitchen help. dish washer
- work in small farm bakery; making bread
- 2 years of working in a hut in the suisse alps :
processing milk to cheese, joghurt, butter
making cakes, cooking, waitress for the hut-restaurant
work with animals, agriculture land, farming
- painting walls (quite a few through previous workaway experiences)
- farming in general (picking grapes, apples, weeding, much more...)
- computer skills (MS Office, QGIS, Project management tools)
- teaching german (online experience with about 1500 hours)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- farm experience since a child and worked one summer at a hut in the swiss alps (milking cows, making butter and other milkproducts, taking care of visitors, gardening, fencing,...)
- gastronomy: 10 years of experience in different restaurants and cafes as servant, barista and dish-washer;
- hostel work experience (cleaning, reception, welcoming,..) in Ireland or Chile
- gardening with permaculture principles: growing own vegetables, woofing in different countries

In case you have a shortage of free beds, I always carry my tent and sleepingbag and wouldnt mind using it during my stay
