The first time I have visited Kri and her wonderful place was in march 2022 and I stayed for a month which was full of being outside, doing all kinds of physical work that it usual for a farm, spending time on horseback in the BEAUTIFUL nature of Bad Kreuznach or in Kri's backyard chatting or just

I definitely keeps you entertained. ;)You should definitely know how to work independently and see what tasks could be nessecary. You can´t go wrong with Michael! During the nine months he spent at my farm he did really big jobs for my tractor, my yard loader and a lot of devices he fixed, improved or even created. Whenever there was something to fix (which happens a lot of times at a farm) Michael was there, figuring out what was the problem and finding a quick, sustainable and creative solution. I was impressed how, instead of the language barrier, he always found the required stuff and parts in the online shops and how he managed to do physically really hard jobs completely alone, although my tools and structures are far away from a professional garage. He leaves a lot of technical improvements which I enjoy each day I work with it!
The farm jobs like mucking out, fencing, mowing he learned very quickly and did them fast and absolutely reliable. With the horses he was calm, friendly and consequent; the dogs really loved him! He helped me growing up six puppies, it was a big pleasure for all of us
Michael is a calm, quiet, decent character; easy-going and comfortable to live together in a house. During his stage he improved his German a lot.
Michael, I wish you all the best for your plans to settle down in Germany and I´m already looking forward to see you again soon! Remind you are our farm mechanican now – and a godfather to my young dog Nya!

Five stars are not enough! Ricardo is simply exceptional, concerning his qualities as a co-worker as well as his personality. He spent more than one year at my farm which was one of the greatest times I ever had in the 20 years I run this business. Thanks so much for that!
Due to his experience at his family´s cattle farm he is passionate in

He has a great knowledge about farming and a lot of skills and he is all the time eager to learn more and to share. Using his brain, his heart, his strength and his dexterity – he has a pretty amount of all of them!
Ricardo is a very quick learner and an independent, absolutely reliable worker. A lot of times when I wanted to ask him to do something for me I had to recognize that it was done already. So after a very short time I could leave the whole farm with all the animals to his care when I had to travel for some days. You can trust in him and in his abilities with closed eyes.
It´s nearly impossible not to love him and not to enjoy his company; all my clients agree to this (and also do the horses and dogs and my neighbours). Being open-minded, helpful, kind and full of attentiveness, Ricardo motivates people around him to change to their very best.
I will never forget all our conversations, the cultural exchange, our trips, the working together, horseback riding, walking the dogs, the great dishes and BBQs he did for us, the movie nights, all the ideas he shared, all the good footprints he left.
I was looking for a workawayer and found a friend for a lifetime. Ricardo, I hope my place will stay your home base in Europe and you will come back a lot of times. You know where the key for the farm is hidden – and the key to my heart is with you, anyway!

The best teacher , and it's not beeronic.
One word to describe this place: magic. -Thank you, for all the unforgettable moments. The long hours of conversation, the countless movies, all those cozy morning coffees. Okay, I have to admit, the credits for the best "Good mornings" go to Nava and Nya. -sorry, tough competition there.
… read more But our morning runs and playtime with the dogs ? A wild and fun challenge, trying to catch Nya.
Our riding tours - Especially our traditional Sundays: horseback riding to a restaurant in the forest, and then, the night rides back.. okay, galloping through a pitch-dark forest with no artificial lights? Absolutely amazing. Like I said before: Magic.
Autumn in this forest, with the trees completely draped in yellow and brown leaves, was breathtaking. And let's not forget the little competition to spot the reddest leaf - those moments were lovely.
As Kris already describes on her profile, there's another family living on the farm. A huge kiss to the Alpaka's family. Sybille, thank you for putting up with our loud conversations that lasted all night long -your patience deserves a medal. Greta, thank you for encouraging me to stay active, for all the fun we had playing and to your imagination. (If you are looking to improve communication skills or just enjoy a more lightheaded perspective on life, Greta will be your best teacher!) And, of course, the BBQs together - time when life feels completely lighter. Simon's delicious pulled pork, tacos and even a Brazilian-style BBQ were amazing. Add Jule's singing and imitations simple supimpa (Google it), and it was an undescribed experience. Her voice and creativity added a unique spark.
Prost!! Ca-ve-ri-nha!!

I'd like to start with it was a amazing experience for me. I spent approximately 7 intresting weeks with Kri and with her beautiful dog, love you Navaaaa😍, and absolutely with her icelandic horses. The only bad thing I can say about our time with Sev: It was much too short! To be honest, I was a little bit worried in the beginning because he comes from a completely different culture and we wondered if he could arrange with our slightly chaotic, slightly hippie-like, female-dominated community... but from the very first moment all was fine.
… read more We really adored Sev´s character: open-minded, gentle, polite, easy-going, friendly, sensible, intelligent. We laughed a lot, we talked a lot, we worked a lot and enjoyed all the time we could spent together.
During his stay Sev was, among others, responsible for feeding, mucking out the stable and also for the medical care of individual horses. He was also involved in general maintenance and household management.
Sevak is very dedicated to learning new skills and is also able to manage the incidental projects that can crop up from time to time. He is always reliable, smart and careful in what he does. Each time I was very pleased with his handyman‘s skills. He installed some lights and plugs for me and repaired my petrol mower in a skillful and creative way. We enjoy the results of his work every day!
Also I would like to say that Sevak is a really good housemate. Although he told us he wasn´t a good cook we enjoyed his curries and chais very much!
In the time he worked here Sevak was very motivated to improve his horseback riding skills. He was easily able to take part in trail rides in all gaits (walk, tölt, trot, gallop).
He took care of the needs of injured and invalid animals with love and patience, in a capable and friendly manner. Sevak has a very good feeling for animals, not only for horses but also for my little dog puppy that I got right when he arrived. He needed only a few days to identify and know nearly every of the 50 horses by name and he always had an eye open for the health and welfare of all school and private horses.
During his stay Sevak also assisted my apprentice Elli in her work with a young and a very shy horse and learned a lot about ground work which he was highly interested in. He used this knowledge effectively in his daily work.
In the days Sevak was with us he grew to be a vital member of our team. I am looking forward very much to having him back here again.
You cannot go wrong with Sevak!

… read more like a second home :)
The work was not at all too much. there's the feeding and mucking out in the mornings, and feeding in the evenings too. During other times there's always some project that one could work on. Kri and Ellie often told me that i have worked enough for the day, but honestly they made me like family and were so motivating such that i just felt like doing so much more than purely the minimal (not at all obligatory but simply was a pleasure to do so!). The makes of great leaders.
Apart from working, there were many chances to learn how to work with horses too. We talked over coffee many times about the best ways to work with certain horses. It was a great honor to learn from someone who spent their whole lives with horses, and Ellie too who has an immense knowledge and feel for horses, who is always so chill, creative and funny and at the same time always on the ball. They taught me much about Tölting, ground work and clicker training! Together we worked with a shy horse and a young horse in the round pen and in the countryside.
The accommodation and food was GREAT!! I HAD MY OWN GYPSY WAGON! HOW COOL IS THAT!?! hahaha! and in the nights, you can enjoy the stars and the moonlight in the courtyard, it is so very serene. In addition, they are all great cooks and enjoy having meals together with conversations about life. they were my favorite parts of the day too! I somehow managed to cook a little decent curry and am glad they liked it, but i was hopeless with the rice hahahah! it was all good fun!
There is another family living with Kri who work with alpacas: Billy and her family. They too were amazing people who always had the best music playing!! Julia and Simon and Greta and Grendel and the great Jaanu, my experience would not have been complete without them :)
All in all, is a center of positivity. there's an energy in the air that just attracts all these amazing people together. Not only the families who live there, but also all the clients and friends who come by to have a great time there. On my first day there i met Mira and Soe, and again they were such special, warm and loving people i cant even describe! They really took care of me and saw me off as i left to head back to Singapore.
I may have spent a little more than 2 weeks here , but i have made friends that will last a lifetime.

From the get go I felt at home and comfortable as they are just so completely hospitable, caring and not to mention hilarious and fun. Kri is very straight forward in her direction for working. She tries her utmost

I worked with Sandra, who is completely her riding instructor apprenticeship, and she was always helpful, kind and supportive. I had an amazing time on the property doing an array of jobs. You are surrounded by the beautiful nature so it's impossible to have a bad day. If you are competent with horses Kri encourages you to help with the rides etc which, by the way, are incredibly serene and fun. Not only this but the atmosphere of the riding school is homely and supportive due to the clients but also Billy and Julia (who are such amazing and fun loving people) who run the alpaca farm next to the riding school. I really feel like Kri, Susanne and Sandra are part of my family and cannot wait to come back in winter and see them again. I love them dearly. Winter truly couldn't come sooner. Beshara spent nearly six weeks at our courtyard and she promised to turn back in winter - it will be a too long time without her! We had a perfect time together - laughing, talking, eating, drinking and of course hard working! I think it´s impossible not to love her from the very first moment for she´s such a friendly, cheerful, positive,

Beshara understood at once what kind of work she was supposed to do and she did it very skilful and independently. She doesn´t mind to get her hands dirty or to do physically hard work. She´s absolutely competent and reliable. She´s also very experienced in horse riding and helped me a lot with training my young horses. We met as strangers and now we´re friends - that´s the perfect workaway idea. I´m looking forward eagerly to meet each other again!

I spent 2 weeks here and I had an amazing time. Kristina was on holiday when I visited so I didn't get to spend much time with her, but her apprentice Sandra was very helpful & friendly as was everyone else at the stables. Special thanks go especially to Billy who lives upstairs and adopted us whilst Kri was away, feeding us every night! The work
… read more is physical, but not too hard and there was plenty of time to relax and get to know people or take a hike. We cleaned out, fed and watered the horses, trained the foals and young horses, watered the garden, fed the tortoises, cooked and of course got to ride which was the high light. All of the riding is off road with lots of trotting & galloping! The scenery is beautiful and the horses are so well behaved, comfortable to ride and are also very well looked after. I would highly recommend visiting if you love horses, nature and the outdoors. I hope to return at some point to see a grown up Fluxvin & Fowney (the foals!).Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Vicky spent two weeks at our farm and it was a very good time! She helped us in the stables, training the foals and young horses... Viicky is a very friendly, easy-going and reliable person who does her jobs very responsible, reliable and skilful. Unfortunately I nearly didn´t meet her because I had been at holidays while she was here but the

It was a great time with Flo and Marlies but it passed to fast! They helped me so much with the horses, mowing, fencing... and Flo get a special friend of my "Killer mower" and left all the grass and weed around my courtyard short and tidy. They offered much more work than I could expect and so it was a pleasure for me to "pay" them with riding

Valentina and Devid had been reliable workers and helped me a lot with fencing, cleaning the stables, feeding the horses and they also cooked pasta for us :o) I don´t quite understand the negative mark I got because I think the accomodation is okay, the food is okay and the daily time of work is okay. Unfortunately it became increasingly clear
… read more that the type of work on the farm was not well suited to Valentina and Devid and after discussions we came to the conclusion it was better to leave and find a more suitable host. I think my profile describes clearly that I need helpers that are at least a little bit experienced with horses, speaking German or at least very good English so that communication is possible and I also say that farmwork can be physically hard for someone who isn´t used to it. I am, however, very appreciative for all the help they provided! I´m sorry they couldn´t enjoy the time at my farm and wish them a more suitable place!

It was my first workaway experience as a host but if I should describe the perfect workawayer her name would be Fabienne. Although, as a kind of teacher, I´ve got a lot of experience with young people, I seldom met someone so mature, sensible, positive and joyful like her. I think we liked eachother from the very first moment and it was a pleasure
… read more to work and to live together (but too short!). Fabienne is fast, fit, friendly and ready to work much more than I could expect, so it was a pleasure for me to teach her all she was interested in - nearly all things! We met as strangers and divided as friends; I hope we will stay in touch and of course she´s got always a place in our hearts and our house. (And when we ever manage to get to Canada I hope we will be allowed to visit her there)

I spent the last two weeks here and I am already able to say that those two weeks passed by ways too fast and that I wish I could stay longer. I felt home here right from the beginning and everybody made me feel so welcome that it wasn’t hard to integrate at all.
All I had to do was feeding the ponies in the morning and the evening and clean
… read more their pen once a day and Kri even helped me with that most of the time so I usually didn’t feel like I’ve worked enough. And because of that I always tried to help her more than ony doing the chores.
I got so much more from them than room and board too, I was able to go on trailrides and join riding lessons so I actually felt overpaid.
It was always fun and really everybody was friendly to me and easy to get along with. I will miss Susanne and Kri and their awesome dogs Aaron and Vio and of course all the ponies especially Tyri who I really fell in love with! I am so excited to come back here for a visit although I haven’t even left yet.
