Hi all
Im looking for hosts to stay with for summer term June to September 2024, most of Europe or uk considered.

Hi my names Joanne and live in Manchester UK im currently at home and now looking for hosts for 2024.

Although i have done 3 workaways in 2023 i still have many places i would love to see.
I have previously done workaways in France, alicante, andulasia & portugal so far and have had many fab adventures aswell as different work tasks. I want to see as many places as possible and learn all about each different cultures anything from gardening, growing,cutting, making, doing, finding ,meeting communicating and giving back anything i can help with.

I'm currently trying to learn about herbal remedies, teas, medicinal plants etc (not an expert by far) and have also been doing planting of seeds etc in the small space i have near my home.
Iv been pondering on doing workaways for years but never had the courage to just go for it but its more my desire now and lifes to short to sit and let opportunities go by.

I love all things nature,animals, bees, cultures, delicacies, plants you name it and would love to learn more aswell as different cultures, meet new people experience all kinds of ways in life be it cooking, eco gardening, outdoor living, camping, becoming friends with others from different parts of the world. Basically i want something to write home about now and leave amazing stories for my grandchildren.

Raised by my mum and always on travels, camping holidays, cooking iv been independent since i was 17 years old so nothing is a problem if its doable. I have a great sense of humour ( my friends usually end up cross legged at my many funny misshaps & stories) im helpful, honest, trustworthy and very much a believer in respect for those with different opinions, beliefs,ideas & ways is the upmost, aswell as respecting others property.
I myself am also hoping to find my inner peace, harmony & have my eyes opend to much more cultural, balance, love and peace. I would love to learn yoga, meditation, herbal plants & sustainable living if i get the opportunity one day.

At the ripe old age of 51 I'm no spring chicken and obviously cannot be compared to a 21year old , i don't have building trade qualifications or carpentry, but I have my own life skills which I think is 1 of the best skills. My work roles have ranged from management skills, IT skills, childminding, front of house, secretarial, barmaid customer service, cook, entertainer and teaching assistant.
I love animals dogs, donkeys,horses, chickens, goats, cows, ducks, goats the list is endless ( snakes fear the life out of me) and i dont require much maintenance myself as i can happily live by my means and what i have at the time. I would love to learn to make homemade jams, creams , lotions as im kind of experimenting this at home so id love to learn more.

I eat as little meat as possible but not fully vegetarian, I just love my veggies and am a stickler for healthy living and lifestyle. I'm not a massive drinker so 1 or 2 glasses of wine suits me with a evening meal or water is just as good.

I don't ask for much in return of my helping hands (I'm very low maintenance) other than a clean bed, 3 meals a day, good company and lots of laughs. Im a strong believer that we are all different, have our own knowledge, capabilities and beliefs and everyone deserves a chance at something in life regardless.

In December 2023 I am going to Gambia for 2 weeks to help at a school and maturnity unit with a charity called the rainbow legacy which I feel privileged to have the opportunity to make a difference especially as I love working with children of all ages and enjoy helping less privileged people.

So that's a little about myself and what I am interested in doing.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Although I'm no expert plant ,archaeologist, painter, healer or even a Mitchell star cook I have many years of family life experience, being a single mum of 4 has been my life long experience and my biggest achievement yet. I have many skills in administration, bar tender work and try to live healthy by growing my own herbs, plants, and as natural as possible. I'm a new comer to crystals and meditation aswell as herbalism and aromatherapy but I'm getting quite a good collection of books together and trying my best to get my head round these as much as I can. I love my own space and my ideal place would be in the country or somewhere picturesque, peaceful and tranquil. I hate city life as at my age I just want to be able to sit down at the end of the day and say yes it's another day done and watch the stars in total Harmony with less traffic and noise.
