Hi, I’m Jenni, 55 years young ;-) . I’m an adventurous solo traveler, although occasionally, my daughter may join me on my trips.
I was born in South Africa, where I worked as a science and biology teacher before moving to Germany 28 years ago. In Germany, I studied Media and Graphic Design and am currently the head of a trainee program for media design at a university in Munich. My true passion lies in art and illustration—whether it’s watercolor, sketchbooking, or printing techniques like tetrapack, gelatine, or linocut printing.
Starting in August 2025, I plan to take a sabbatical year as my present job will be coming to an end and I'll be focussing more on my illustration skills and my art. This year will give me the space to reflect and figure out where I want to go next in life.
I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and love learning new things. I’m happy to help with tasks around the house and am pretty easy-going. You can often find me quietly painting in nature or out hiking.
I’m married and have a 24-year-old daughter who studies illustration and animation. This sabbatical year will give me the space to reflect and figure out where I want to go next in life.
I love helping out on all sorts of projects around the house and garden. I'm used to all DIY around the house. (I painted my whole house inside and out on my own ;-)). Often hosts are really happy because I can help them with websites and other online marketing activities due to my profession as a media designer. My greatest job comes from helping people enjoy the process of making art. I am open to many different things, so if I write to you, you can be sure that what you have described in your profile interests me and I would love to help out.
